The Official Tennesssee @ #2 Georgia Game Thread, 3:30 PM ET, CBS

Everyone blaming Helton. JG is the one starring down a reciever and not going through his check downs or anything. He predetermined his receiver before the snap each play.

Where is he supposed to throw it. Helton never calls a pass until it's an obvious passing situation and even then all the routes are short. The D is teeing off on this predictable offense.

I can't believe I'm setting here on volnation chatting with all the keyboard coaches and not out doing something productive. Tn football is dead for a few years.

Vol fans, we are brothers. But some of you really need to stop and think about what you are saying. Most of you predicted that Tennessee would lose by 40 points. Here it is halftime and we are down 17. As bad as we have played in 2 phases of the game, I can see where you are not happy. But for crying out loud, we are down 17. Try to be at least a little objective about what you are seeing. It may go into the crapper in the second half, but at least right now it's not the beat down you all expected. GBO
24-0 after o e drive 3rd qrt.

A less pathetic bush league performance except Vols again will need a terrific 2nd half to make the game watchable, competitive close and dramatic.

Play great in the 2nd half Vols play like there is no damn tomorrow and make everyone remember the late Saturday that the Vols came back vs the damn freakin UG Bulldogs.

First time I’ve turned on volnation today, and haven’t watched a single second of this game. Out and about having fun and enjoying the weather with the family instead.

This season is a wash fellas. Enjoy your Saturdays. If it gets good I have it on DVR.

If JG starts the second half, I’ll be done. The guy is absolutely terrible and until we have a QB, nobody will respect us and they’ll just play the short routes and stack the box. There has to be more than a 5 yard pass in JG’s thought process.
My pizza ordering is dependent on who starts the second half. If JG starts I’m turning it off. If anybody else starts it’s pizza time

I admire Helton's consideration of the opposing team by always trying to give them back the ball on third-and-long via calling a draw play. But wouldn't it be quicker, since he clearly wants to help the other team, just to punt on third down? But all in all, he does a great job for the opposing team week in and week out.

I can remember people complaining about the spread offense saying they wanted to run out of the I formation. Now that we do, they complain about it. As many a sane fan said at the time, it's about execution not what offense you are running.
When you have a weak oline you run plays.that get.the ball away from the line quickly. We do the exact opposite. To their.credit, the first 3 plays did and since then.....

It is the PLAYCALLING. The qb can't throw more than 5 yards if those are the only routes that are called.

If we try to throw longer routes we give up sacks. The next 10 quarters are going to be painful to watch. Sucky team plays three top 10 teams ina row...

We have too many decent players on Offense to look as bad as we have all season. Helton is a clown.

Helton got a steal of a deal from TN. Pruitt/Fulmer were hoodwinked on that contract. Offense looks horrid. TN Football is an embarrassment. Pruitt is an amateur. Does not look like TN will win an SEC game this year.

But hey,
GO VOLS!

Right?

JG doesnt get to name the starter.

JG doesn't get to plan practice

JG doesnt get to choose his QB coach

JG works with what he has and what he is taught.

Helton’s playcalling is not helping the Oline whatsoever. When the playcalling is predictable, it’s easy for the Dline to tee off with no worries.
