How come the thought of Fromm being hurt gives me a little confidence. The D has been playing better, maybe just maybe if the O doenst turn the ball over 6 times. The D can force Fields into a few mistakes
Doesn’t move the needle at all for me. Fields has played just as good in his time at QB.

I also don’t believe the injury report

I haven't seen the UGA peeps I'd expect to be talking about it say a word so I think it's just a rumor being pushed to Vol fans.

Chryst is the best QB on the team right now. If they weren't worried about JG transferring because of the situation next year, Chryst would have started from day one IMO.
Come on, newt. What have you seen from Chryst on the field to make you believe that? So the staff is just starting Guarantano just to keep him? That's ridiculous.

I’d honestly rather go to the dentist or have a colonoscopy than go to Athens and watch this team play with no heart. It’s got nothing to with talent. They got no want, so why should I give s***
Because not every player fits your mold in your post. There are players who bust their asses every day to get better. There are likely players out there not giving their best. Just like there are fans like you who only see the bad apples and use it as your excuse as to why you are one also.

we have nothing to talk about in here lol. spinning in circles

This from the person who said he would rather watch paint dry. OK.

Since it's slow in here, I have to vent.

I buy a lot of stuff from Home Depot. Went there today to pick up some insulation, a whole pickup load of the stuff. Parked went in side and made the purchase then exited. Most of y'all that are here in east Tennessee knows it's rained all day, pretty much a steady rain. Well, a bunch of yahoos decided that the loading area is their own personal parking spot. Cars/trucks just sitting there blocking the loading area. I guess they thought they were special and didn't want to get their hairdo a little damp. So I had to wheel the stuff over to the truck in the rain and load up. Piece of craps that think they're better than anybody else.

Thanks! I needed that.
It just takes one numbnuts to think they're being "smart" and the rest of the numbnuts will follow right along.

I want our guys (coaches and players) and everyone else employed in our football program to believe we will go down to Georgia and play our best game of the year. I want them to believe if they give everything they’ve got, execute as well as they can, eliminate mistakes, they have a shot at winning the football game. That’s what I support as a fan. We may not win the game but if we just accept that we’re not going to win the game before we even kick off then it’s a certainty that we have no chance.

As a fan what would you say to one of the players before the game? I seriously doubt many here would be saying I don’t know why you guys even showed up; you have no chance today. No, I suspect almost everyone would be saying “go get ‘em guys” or something like that. Here’s the thing, if you don’t really believe that then your words won’t carry any meaning. Humans of all ages have, in varying degrees, an innate ability to detect insincerity and pretentiousness.
"The glory of friendship is not the outstretched hand, not the kindly smile, nor the joy of companionship; it is the spiritual inspiration that comes to one when you discover that someone else believes in you and is willing to trust you with a friendship." Ralph Waldo Emerson

I’ve heard Pruitt say a number of times that some of our players need to believe in themselves and I’ve read a number of times that the number one priority of a coach is to get his players to believe in themselves. As fans and supporters of the team we can either help or hurt. Sometimes when someone is struggling just knowing that someone else believes in them is enough to pull them through.

Man up guys and gals. We’re about to go into a fight. Our one and only purpose in going down to Georgia is to WTFA.

I can't imagine still thinking Chryst is the "best QB on this roster" right now. What has he shown you this year or at Stanford to make you think that? He was a hand-off specialist at Stanford too. He had Bryce Love and a stellar offensive line there. He has neither of those things here. Let's face it: Neither JG nor Chryst is the answer right now. And Chryst isn't going to see a lot of playing time unless JG gets really hurt or plays disastrously.

If he can get the ball out quicker he may be the best for a team with a suspect line.

I date the beginning of my real fandom to 1964 when we hired Doug Dickey as our coach. I was 8 years old. I’ve been to hundreds of games and probably owned/worn at least a couple dozen or more jerseys over that time as well as hoodies, jackets, shirts, etc. All of my early years I never missed a game with my father including spring practice and the annual game at Legion field in Birmingham. Eventually it was me taking the boys to Rocky Top.

In my first 45 years as a fan we had 4 coaches, played 538 games and throwing out the 14 ties, we won 71.2% of those games including 65.7% of conference games. In the last 10 years, we’ve had 4 coaches, played 117 games and won 50.4% of those games including 31.5% of conference games.

We actually won the SEC championship the year I was born (1956). I’m still not exactly sure which my father was most excited about. We’ve won 7 more conference championships since then and of course 1 national crown.

I’ve projected we would win the conference championship 55 times. I’ve been right 7 times so I’m batting 0.127. For the record, I still think we’ve got an outside shot this year, but keep in mind, and I want to stress this point, historically it’s obvious I’ve not always been right. #GBO

ALL of Volnation didn’t want a 3yards in a cloud of dust offense. Some of us wanted a modern offense that is balanced, efficient, creative, and unpredictable like what the Eagles or Rams run.
I have to agree with you for the most part, but I did want an tougher offense that can run when it wants to. I don't like one dimensional offenses either, they are too easy to stop

Pruitt is the anti-Butch. No BS about him whatsoever.
Yep. He is exactly that and for now, that's something he can get mileage from. Eventually he'll have to do what CBJ couldn't. And just being different won't be good enough. He'll have to be better.

Gotta have some horses to do that. Those two teams have the best rosters in the NfL. And phenomenal QBs.

Thai Cave Update:

... yes, apparently this is still a thing.

It turns out the British divers rescued 4 dudes who had gone in trying to find the boys on the first day. No one noticed they were missing in the chaos of the rescue efforts, but they were trapped too, separate from the team.

British divers rescued four Thai adults from flooded cave complex before saving trapped children

Hmmm. This in combination with Elon Musk's insistence that one of the cave rescuers is a pedo... The conspiracy theorist in me thinks this could be a juicy tidbit. Probably not, though.

Ppl drag butch but he did beat Florida. He is not dooley. He recruited well until he didn’t and he was a gimmick. He’s a good AAC/Big East coach. I didn’t love the dude but he did have 2 good years.

JG is better physically than KC. It’s. Its not even close. But i saw rick clausen play some decent football games too and he couldn’t throw it 40 yards.

He screwed up what could have been two great years. He was all style and no substance.

JG's passing yards this year by game:
172
154
168
164
KC posted a 19/26 258 yards 3 TDs vs Oregon in 2016. KC is more than just a hand the ball off QB.

Watched some highlights of Florida game and truly amazing that as bad as it was if our WRs and TEs would have held onto the ball on some great JG throws under pressure we could have been right back in it.

Callaway had 2 TDs right in his hands he couldn't finish.

Pope touchback fumble cost a TD.

DWA let contact affect a catchable 4th down throw then another potential big play where if he caught he had lot of room to run.

No idea how palmer doesn't hold the deep bomb.

If BJ doesn't trip or is tougher he stays up and can high point that ball for a TD instead of Interception.

All this plus the turnovers just wow so many missed opportunities that we may be having different conversations about offense without turnovers and the playmakers making plays they should make

I am not saying that I don't think that Chryst could not get the job done; I am just saying that us fans have not seen enough of him in games to say that he would be better. JG has had good and bad moments so far. It would be great to see what he could do with a little better protection, but that is almost certainly not going to happen. If JG has another game with multiple turnovers and a low completion percentage, I think we would almost have to try Chryst at that point.
