You don't know that. The job was attractive until it got curried up.

It’s more about great coaches just aren’t leaving like they used to. They get comfortable somewhere and stay. Look at some the Recent hires at major programs.

UF turned down multiple times to end at Mullen.
USC promotes interim.
LSU hires Oregon
We get turned down a million times.
FSU got turned down multiple times before hiring Taggart.

Then you got texas AM who does it the way everyone should. Here’s 10 mil. I dare you to say no.

Here to take my medicine. Won’t even try to countenance the beatdown by claiming the inane turnovers would have changed the outcome. Hope for development in the young players and that JG’s knee is fine. Apologize to all those that KNEW we were going to lose to Florida. Still not conceding that Santa Clause and the psychotic doppelgänger of the Easter Bunny have conspired to doom us forevermore against this team...we just have to improve the talent and hope we’ve hired the coaches that can utilize it.
Not me, I've completely surrendered to the magic holiday figures. If you were writing a B-movie comedy about the worst team, you wouldn't include all of our blunders because it would be considered too unrealistic.
The Benny Hill show would consider this too much. I final broke down and laughed a couple of times.

I don't think it has to be a super star hire. I do think you have to spend money to get out of your ditch. Pruitt may turn out to be a great coach and lead TN back, I don't know, but he's an unknown. I don't think Tennessee should be gambling with unknowns. JMO

I still believe Pruitt is the guy. Watching the post game presser made me feel a lot better. Guy knows football, we just suck. Sorry, but its the truth. We are very low on talent and our guys, for whatever reason, couldn't hold onto the football tonight. In reality, that's a close game, maybe we lose by a score, but we turned the dang ball over 7 times, 3 or 4 inside the 20 yard line. Hard to blame the coaches to much for that. That said, I was disappointed with the play calling and hope we do better there. But the fact is, if we're going to be better, we're going to have to recruit better. Kirby recruited top 3, Saban number 1 the first full class. Unfortunately we will not do that here. But hopefully we are still able to land the top guys we are after. We have to if we want to be good again. Guys want us to win, but we can't win without talent. I hope Pruitt can sell that.

I guess Chance Hall isn’t ready yet bc one would think he would get a shot at either tackle position. Him on one leg might be better.

I completely agree. You can go back and check my posts from the start of the search. I wanted Fisher bad. I have friends at FSU who said he was miserable. Offer him 8+ million dollars (i know texas am offered 10) and make him say no.

And when he says no... go to David Shaw and offer him 8+ million. And if he says no go to Chris Peterson and offer him 8+?million dollars.

Bama could pay nick savan 20 million dollars and he would still be under paid based on the revenu his program creates.

They ran the ball so much and on first down because the Gators has horrible run defense. Kentucky gashed them.

But I guess getting Reese back sure helped.

And our coaches were too stubborn or stupid to adjust.

Our coaches have refused to throw it all year. It's the only thing our OL can do decently and yet they won't do it and now we may have lost the QB that made those big throws a threat.
