Yeah that hand injury coming in hurt his S&C development.

I agree Johnson will get whipped at LOS wuite a bit but at same time that guy is huge in our pull game on outside runs or screen game. He takes multiple people out and is huge in that part. So it's kind of tough call because you can't just bring him in for those and telegraph your plays. Just need him to take the reps and learn better inside technique. It will come.

I wish we could get him outside at T for SEC play but I'm sure staff has their reasons. Could be his pass protection or their lack of trust behind him

Poorly developed his first few yrs. S&C program is big for those type kids.
I've seen him flash through each game just not bringing down QB. I got a feeling as season goes we see him finish better

Not considering the TE's, but you don't believe Jefferson, Grimes or Cleveland would start here?

I think Callaway is clearly the best WR that will be on the field Saturday, but outside of that I think they have more top to bottom depth.

I feel better about the UTEP game after rewatching it. The oline got better, we have 4 really good running backs, and the pass rush started to show up more. I also noticed that Warrior played much better. Looks like he’s starting to understand his assignments better

Just seems odd to me that they'd continue to give the nod to Jamir for having the right mentality with all of the huge mistakes he's been making. Having a nasty streak doesn't count for much if you're completely blowing 4-5 assignments a game.

I think both offenses suck and will have problems moving the football traditionally.

So I think the game will come down to which offensive coordinator can be more creative to get “cheat” yardage. Mullen vs Helton

I think we will see our defense play very aggressive against the run and short throws. Pressure Franks and make him throw > 10 yards through the air. It would piss me off as Butch never challenged these throws from McElwain and their QBs gained confidence with short yardage completions with YAC.

On defense, I think we will will play a lot of tight coverage and single high safety with a lot of blitzing. We can't generate a pass rush without it and I don't trust Franks to beat us when he's under pressure and scrambling.

On offense, it is harder but I think we try and beat them down by running the ball and start to open up the playbook. I look for us to use the middle of the field more often and for Callaway to get a double move off of that 7-9 yard hitch we always seem to throw. More play action too.

WR’s = Vols (just need to use them more Callaway, Palmer, JJ, DWA, Murphy, Johnson)
OL = push
DL = Vols
LB = Vols
DB = Vols (Taylor and Thompson)
Safety = FLA (if Abernathy is out there)
