Losing 17+ SEC games in a row when such a prospect would have been unthinkable less than two years ago...entirely possible and entirely horrifying to contemplate.

I’m not sure what this means, but I am no longer terrified by the prospect of any new low that we may reach as a program. That honestly left me when we got shutout at home by UGA last year and I realized we would lose 8 games for the first time barring a miracle. I’ve given up hoping that we can still hold on to our former glory by being mediocre rather than really bad.

I think we can win at a high level again but it will take a lot of time and patience among the fanbase. I look to Kentucky as a solid example of what happens when you just sit back and let a quality ball coach be a coach, even if the first few years are rough. They are having a nice run, historically speaking.

I have a great parking spot but yesterday, even after several had left early, it took forever to get to Neyland Drive to get on the way quickly to home. The cops were not letting andy holt/ joe johnson traffic move but maybe three cars at a time and letting other directions go forever twice before letting us go once and it was backing folks up. I let a guy out in front of me before we got to where Volunteer crosses. They let three cars go and he books it across himself drawing the ire of the cops trying to stop him. Saw them take a pic of his tag but they also gave me the big hand up to stop and yelled to make sure I would. I give money and come to games and support the program and then sit forever because the cops do a piss poor job of directing traffic and then held us up for several cars because they were pissed at that guy and also could probably tell that I wanted to drive over their bikes and flip them off. Then traffic seemed even worse on the interstate though it was probably the same as any other game. Wanted to eat at Connors and then get home and watch some other games. It took almost an hour just to get to Connors. Listen to the Auburn LSU finish on the radio instead of seeing the last few minutes at home.

I am driving back and wondering why am I spending all this time and money and especially to see them play ETSU and UTEP and miss all the others. Going to Auburn as well and it should be a fun trip with my son but knowing going in this year is a tough one but hope we can compete ect like everyone else. But started thinking, even if we were a great team right now would it be worth the money, time, and aggravation of all the crap outside of watching the game. I love the time in Neyland but all the other hassle is starting to creep into my thoughts of how nice it is on the weekends I stay at home and enjoy the games on TV. Geared up for Florida game next week but sometimes really wonder if just going to a couple of big games even if you have to pay a pretty penny for tickets, might make more sense. Sorry for the rant but really not a fan of the traffic flow and how K town police handle things.

I know you’re frustrated but I honestly believe you (all our fans) being there makes a difference to those young men playing the game we all love. I’m glad you go and wish I could be in Neyland for more than one game each year.

I do go to two away games each year - I just love the atmosphere of college football, especially the Tennessee Volunteers.

Aside from being a bit sloppy I think for the most part we did what we were supposed to do against UTEP. The score should have been at least 42-0 so I think a lot of people are reacting to that and justifiably so but in some ways we executed better this game than in the previous two. I think Pruitt said the same thing on his TV show. If it is true that it's about us and not our opponent and we're improving on our assignments then hopefully we take another step forward this week. I'll be surprised if we don't come out sharp against the gators and I don't think we can afford not to. jmo.

How much do you think this team has improve through these first three weeks? Looks like to me they've cleaned up a lot of stuff.

Idk about week to week but they are significant improvements all over the field.

JG is playing better than i thought he would’ve at this point.
All our interior DL are playing very well.
We have 3 very promising young DBs.
Kirkland is healthy and doing good things.

I’m enjoying this. Losing Kennedy sucks. I wish he could’ve stayed an anchor at C.

Nothing like the on campus and in game experience for sure.

One thing I have noticed the last two games. Once he’s seen a few series, Pruitt seems able to make some changes that totally shuts the other team down. That didn’t happen at West Virginia but will be interesting moving forward. Guy is a great defensive mind. If he gets the right players in here, he will do well I think.
