Bama Fatigue would drain all the enjoyment out of CFB. Saban wants to go out on top. He's had an unprecedented run, but all runs come to an end. I think he'll decide to retire once he sees a dip ahead. It would be sweet if UT winning TSIO foreshadowed a power shift.

So Bear Bryant retired after losing to Major’s Tennessee Volunteers two years in a row.
I was at both games. Very sweet!

It would be nice for Pruitt’s Tennessee Volunteers to end another bama dynasty. Let’s get this going, shall we?

So we ended Bryant and Spurrier.
Screw it, may as well go for the trifecta.

"Got the Florida Gators coming this next week. It's why a lot of these guys came to Tennessee to play in games like this. I know it's why I came here to coach." - Pruitt

Hoping these players can take on the attitude of their head coach sooner rather than later. Butch Jones looks at Florida and doo doo's his pants. Pruitt thinks he'll kick their tail.

My SEC ranking through 3 weeks.

1. BAMA
2. LSU
3. UGA
4. MSU
5. AUB
6. TAMU
7. UK
8. VANDY
9. MIZZOU
10. SC
11. OLE MISS
12. UF
13. VOLS
14. ARK

Arky was picked last in the SEC this year. I have seen nothing to suggest that they plan to overachieve.

Georgia from a commitment to football standpoint is at least close to Alabama. We need to be willing to throw as much money around at recruits as those two programs do. It's essential.

We do. Georgia has a 10x better recruiting back yard that Tennesssee and they always will.

Pretty much my thinking with the Alabama program. After he retires, nothing will change for awhile. Like you said, it'll take a Butch Jones type to screw that up. When the time comes to pick a guy, they'll have their pick of the litter.
I’m sure the same was said when Bear Bryant left / retired. Then the 80’s happened to Alabama. Then the late 90’s and the Tenn win streak against them; the ebb and flow of football programs. There isn’t another Saban, not even close.

Bill Connelly moved us up from #57 to #40 in this week's S&P+ rankings.

A reminder: S&P+ is intended to be predictive and forward looking.
Good predictive ratings are not résumé ratings, and they don’t give you bonus points for wins and losses. They simply compare expected output to actual output and adjust accordingly. That’s how a given team can win but plummet or lose and move up.

1 Alabama
3 Georgia
5 Miss State
12 Texas A&M
14 Auburn
21 LSU
22 Kentucky
28 S. Caro
29 Mizzou
31 Florida
35 Vandy
40 Tennessee
50 Ole Miss
67 Arkansas

130-team S&P+ rankings, including a surging Oklahoma State
