Go downtown. Stock and Barrel has terrific burgers. Babalu's is great for Mexican Tapas. Across the street is Suttree's Tavern -- high gravity bar. On Jackson Street and Broadway is Balter Beerworks. Good Micro brews.

That's just a starting point. There's also Crown and Goose, MOB, Chivo Taqueira, Nama Sushi Bar, Clancy's Tavern ... All within walking distance of each other. You can eat and drink your way through downtown and have a blast.

Man...I went to UT in the early/mid 2000s right when the legs were getting kicked out from under the strip, and downtown was a construction zone/ghosttown. It's amazing what Market Square did for downtown, and how many good bars and restaurants are there now.

Well I work for myself but technically I’m on vacation. Just manage emails early then good to go after that. I do make an effort to try multiple breweries whenever I travel.
