I dont understand all the hate on Fulmer....... How do we not know that Pruitt and Friend didn't go to him and ask for some assistance ? I mean he is a Hall Of Fame coach with a O line background.
That's exactly what happened IMO. Doug Mathews just said on the Midday show in Nashville that there's absolutely no way Fulmer would help out on the actual practice field without being asked to.

That's Nosferatu, you uncultured swine!

Worried about Pruitt leaving...now worried about not being able to find his replacement. Dang, McGill...just take a moment and look at where your head's at.

He can't really see where his head is at because it's really dark up there and lighting a match could be dangerous depending on the amount of beans in his diet.

This is my thought as well.

And I don't think it's because they feel they need help there. It's more like, "hey, we've got this Hall of Fame, NC-winning coach in our administration. Why don't we ask him for a tip or two as extra motivation for the guys." I mean, they bring in all kinds of experts and motivational consultants and speakers. When you've got one in your department, you'd be kind of dumb not to use him here and there.

If I'm an o-lineman playing at Tennessee, you can bet your butt I'd be excited as "heck" to be coached up by Fulmer.

Again, not because they need it, but certainly because he's there, and you dip in every pool you can.

The truth probably lies somewhere in the middle to be honest. Fulmer probably oversteps from time to time but the coaching staff probably generally really appreciates having him around.

The only thing vq said was he was watching the ol and gave a few tips to some of the players not actually coaching the line. Imo the reason that some are assuming he's overstepping or out there actually coaching is because vq said he was in sweats instead of a suit. If they didn't mention his fashion choice this thread would be 4 pages shorter.

Seriously! This has been blown so far out of proportion.

No doubt. It’s totally overblown.

Fulmer is there pretty much every single practice in some capacity. Which I can understand might be tough for Will Friend or Jeremy Pruitt - to have your boss - who can arguably be labeled as the most successful coach to have ever held your job - watching your every move. But I don’t think there’s been any friction over it.

Listen, Fulmer would take that head coaching job in a minute. He still thinks of himself as a football coach. And for that reason he likes to hang around. But I don’t think he has inserted himself anywhere he doesn’t belong.

Even with the ignore being awesome on this new site, it’s still hilarious to see the trail of destruction left behind by one notorious pot stirrer. I go through 4 pages and all it looks like is Sherman’s March to the Sea.

Burn it all!!!!

I'd add the line about him having a practice schedule in hand as being part of it as well

There is absolutely nothing weird about that. It would be weirder if he didn't have the practice schedule. Knowing what yer employees are doing and when is not uncommon.
