How is it butting in? If he has a copy of the practice schedule it was obviously given to him. If he is helping improve the line how is he any different then an assistant?

The difference he has decades more experience that's how. Those boys will be better if they listen to all the coaches including PF.

I would think Friend would welcome a couple of pointers from a hall of fame coach. Especially when that HoF coach is also, more or less your boss

I'm guessing since he missed summer conditioning and fall camp he needs six weeks of a regimented training plan to get in shape. I figure in addition to practice he has time with Fitz. Being new to college (classroom) this phase of his life has got to be borderline overwhelming. If he endures I figure by the time we go to South Carolina he'll be a full fledged G.I. Joe.

I'm 1000% against giving any credence to this topic this early in CJP's tenure. No one knows one way or another what we or the rest of the landscape will look like in 3-5(-hopefully more) years..

I agree, really cool. But, I don't think it should be done every year. Every 2 or 3 years keeps it fresh and even cooler
