Chryst looked fine

Seemed calm and in control for sure. JG still seems a little tense.

I also noticed that the defense seemed to respect him on one zone read look play we ran. That could be a dimension that could help the OL maybe.

It will definitely be interesting to see how we develop at this year. If the OL gives them a chance to, that is.

The OL is going to be a concern in SEC games. Losing Kennedy hurts. Next man up is a better soundbite than strategy.
I’m starting to wonder whether we’d be better off just moving Smith back to LG. We’re struggling in the middle more than on the edge thus far. J Johnson seems athletic enough to match up with edge rushers just fine.

I wonder if we’ll see them look at that option at all.

I liked how Pruitt called someone soft today after a half ass block on the show, lol. He’s gonna beat the soft out of em

The tone of his show was so much different than Butch or Dooley. He’s just a ball coach. No fluff.

The way he went through the highlights you’d have thought we lost 50 to nothing. He saw many more negatives than positives. But that’s good - if the players correct what he pointed out we can be a solid team. We don’t have elite talent but we have enough to make a bowl game and give some of the better teams on our schedule a real head ache...

For sure. And I think we’re all okay with that if he wins.

But it’s still weird that he won’t compliment the program in any way. He’s making himself an outsider when the entire fan base would love to rally around him and accept him.

It’s not just Alabama, either, ya know? We’re not paying him a ton at $3.8M a year. Could just be a guy who always looks for the next biggest paycheck.
I haven't had a single problem with anything he's said up until that. The comment he made about the fans after the spring game didn't bother me a bit. But that comment right there kind of chapped my rear end. I think he'll have success here, but I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of people end up not liking him before all is said and done IMO.

Enjoy the ride this season.

We aren’t a good football team. We are more than likely gonna get smacked by the good teams on our schedule and struggle to win vs mediocre opponents. We have major issues that can’t/won’t be solved in 1 year.

We’ll get better each week, the freshmen will continue to flash, our defense will get better week by week, our recruiting class should be good, and we will be a much better team by November.

6-6 was always the goal for me and I think we can still reach it. There will be highs and there will be lows, gotta ride them out.

Exactly. I watched the entire game and their offense consisted of a bad QB who couldn’t pass and no running game. 2nd half was mostly the QB throwing up prayers and hoping for a flag. They looked unprepared and mentally weak.

UK wanted that game more and they did it by running the ball. Snell had like 175 yards rushing.

Really looking forward to seeing what our offense does vs UF. They lost a starting corner to an ACL tear as well. And our D should be able to get a few turnovers due to that QB is not accurate at all. He’s bad.
Here’s how you defend Florida.

1. Spy QB from running
2. Watch deep ball

Can we talk about how JG of refusing to go through his progressions. Many times he had Johnson or Murphy wide open across the middlE. He was also late on looking backside when Palmer was wide open. The same happened with Jennings but JG just doesn't like throwing it to anyone but Callaway for some weird reason.

Maybe the reason he was late is because he WAS going thru his progressions. If you go thru progressions you're going to be "late" at times.

No. He was waiting for Callaway to get "open" in triple coverage the finally went to Palmer.

One thing we can all count on with Pruitt is he’s gonna take whatever risks are required to try to win the games. He knows we have limitations with this team, but he’s gonna give us every chance to win. He’s already shown this with blocked punts, going for it on the goal line on 4th down, etc...he might have us in some games this fall with that type of attitude. It starts at he top, and slowly the team will take on that type of mentality. We are gonna have to scratch and claw our way back to the top.
