Think of how challenging it would be to work in the alabama or florida athletic departments. ~$4mil a year would help that go down a little easier but its still hard to get your heart right.

I wouldent worry about it too much right now. If the problem is still there in 2 years its a different story.

I don’t mean this negatively

But man, Ron is ride or die. Loyal all the way.

He is 100% the kind of guy you want in your platoon. Unquestioned, undying loyalty.

Did your insider ties tell you that?
Didn’t need them - I’ve watched you bend over for each coach we’ve had come through here and defend them to the end - even though it makes you look like an ass - because you care more about being a sunshine pumper and the messageboard likes that come along with it than practicing even a semblance of intellectual honesty.

Can we talk about how JG of refusing to go through his progressions. Many times he had Johnson or Murphy wide open across the middlE. He was also late on looking backside when Palmer was wide open. The same happened with Jennings but JG just doesn't like throwing it to anyone but Callaway for some weird reason.

That what you’re calling PUMPING your own narrative? You rode herd over everything Butch uttered that bled cliche or pandering and now take the exact opposite tack with the next coach. Face it, you hate anybody that coaches Tennessee cuz they weren’t born with the last name Gruden.

Coach Pruitt doesn't pander to anyone. I like it.
I just believe running through the T would be bad ass to anyone lol. It’s one of the coolest traditions in college football, and he got to participate in it. However, it wasn’t a big deal to him. That’s totally fine by me, btw. He’s judged on wins, not enthusiasm.

That’s where you’re wrong. I’m a fan. That’s short for fanatic - a person with an obsessive interest in and enthusiasm for something, especially an activity. And I’m mentally tougher than you. Nothing will break my love of this university and it’s football program. Nothing.

You on the other hand do your best pretending to be some knowitall insider elitist. When in reality you’re a former pumper like myself who caught a small case of BVS and chooses to be the “educated realist” who knows the second cousin of a guy on the equipment staff. Congrats.

I’d pay for a zoomed out replay of games to view things like this.

How in the world was Florida ranked going into last night? Didn't they lose 6 or 7 last year?

Loved seeing that franks is still inaccurate and their ol still sucks.

Even with a uf win (not a huge IF, but we both suck), 6 wins is going to be tough. That UK QB is solid, and our defense is not. That'll be the swing game for our season though, imo.

I see your point. But a couple of things might've played into this:

focused on getting a first win/focused on game in general
crowd not at full throat due to lame opponent
being involved with major programs and big time moments for a lot of years

Not to mention probably a little nervous about all that ominous thunder and lightening that had everyones lives at risk

I'd fist fight Mike Tyson for a chance to run through the T, but I'm a die hard fan and have been my whole life. For these coaches who have been around, I don't really think all the ceremony stuff makes all that much difference to them. At least it shouldn't, if they've been around a while. Saying otherwise just seems like giving an answer you think they want to hear.

He throws to palmer a good bit. He does need to go through progressions better, but that's a pretty common fault of most college QBs outside the top 20 or so.

It’s great until it isn’t. We all like it because 1) it’s the complete opposite of the last loser and 2) in the back of our mind we think Pruitt is going to be successful.

If he is successful, his personality doesn’t matter. But if he’s unsuccessful, or borderline successful, or struggles longer than we think he should, this attitude is not going to get him a long leash. I think that’s what we’re talking about.

It’s a work in progress especially going from such a different offense. Our route concepts are totally different. I’m not too worried about it. I was a little disappointed with some of his down field throws. I thought he underthrew most of them. A guy with his arm talent needs to sling that thing.

And that’s fine. But let’s stop acting like your opinions bring any honesty or hold any value. You’ve proven you’ll spin everything to fit a positive narrative. You’re a fan. That’s great! But it just renders any analysis you give as useless.

I come to this site to analyze what we see on Saturdays and to get a feel for how the fanbase is reacting to x, y, and z. Not to be pumped up and be reassured of my fandom.

Just sounds like something to bitch about to me.

He’s definitely got a long way to go. Honestly I didn’t think he looked much better than Franks has for UF thus far.

I’m interested in seeing how much time they give Chryst next week. Chryst doesn’t have much of an arm, but I wonder if he can get through his progressions more quickly. His ability to run might add a bit of a new dimension to things as well.

I actually prefer he be a complete ass hat that nobody can like personally. Forces everyone to hold him accountable based on winning instead of nonsense.
