A few things that were confirmed for me today:

1. usce is overrated by our fanbase, as usual. Can we please stop the hype? Again, beating us does not mean they're a really good team.

2. UF is overrated by just about everybody. (But I wouldn't give up on Mullen)

3. Some of our fans need to stop posting during the game; your emotions get the best of you. Giving up on the game, the season even, because a quarter, worse yet, a series, doesn't go the way you think it should is silly. Not sure what the worst thing I read was...things like "we're not going to win more than 3 or 4 games", or criticizing fans for yelling for their team at the game. Yeah, it's much better to sit behind a keyboard and complain about your team.

4. Our defense will be at least decent, maybe good, before the season is over. Our OL is still jelling and TS is still working the rust off, but they will also be decent in spite of the loss of Kennedy. But will it be soon enough to win 7 games?

5. JG is a better QB than many thought he would be and better than some still want to admit.

3-9...4-8 looking probable. That 4-0 run in Nov is not looking so good now. Mizzou and KY look strong. Heck Vandy is 2-0.
I was kind of thinking the same earlier today. But FWIW teams develop and dynamics change throughout the course of a season.

Mizzou was one of the worst teams in the country early in 2017. They hit their stride around halfway through on offense and finished strong. We looked like we were on a crash course to be 5-7 in 2014 and things took off for us when Dobbs took over.

For all we know, the WVU team could end up being one of the 2-3 best we see this season and they just caught us at the perfect time.

I’m just gonna try to enjoy the ride as much as possible. If the OL starts slow each week that may be hard though lol

UTEP losing to UNLV 45-10 in the 3rd quarter.
Hopefully another confidence builder for us. No serious injuries. OL gets more consistent. Freshman DBs continue to mature in preparation for a slobber knocker against FL. Take the under. I see a 21-17 type game.

5. JG is a better QB than many thought he would be and better than some still want to admit.

According to some on here, he was a finished product last year and had no room for growth. They dont want to acknowledge that he didnt have a qb coach his fresh year. And last year he had an incompetent coach has his qb coach. This is his first year with real coaching.
