JJ Peterson had a workout program, access to one of the best HS facilities in the South and a HS coach who was expected to help him achieve his target goals. But he came in very out of shape. No point RSing him-- nobody expects him to be around four years. He'll play as soon as they can bring him up to game speed, then manage his PT.
Hope I am very wrong, but if what you are saying is true about him coming in out of shape, he either didn't think he was going to make it in, or worse, he didn't give enough of a 'ish... I hope it was the first and not an indicator to his level of dedication right out of the blocks...

That's fair. I don't agree with it but I wasn't commenting on yer hot take really. More about the reaction. You knew when you said it people were gonna call it out as premature. I think questioning yer point was fair. I was calling out acting like it was unfair to question yer prediction. Like hot takes are to be accepted without critique for some reason. Hot takes like that are intended to get a response IMO. Otherwise why put yourself out there like that.

My critique on the critique was about numbers. I didn't feel like "people" were dismissing Peterson. It was more like "person" at best.

It's a peeve of mine I will never win. "All of VN," "all you guys," "everyone," "everyone on here" are all way overused. It's almost never as many people as the pronouns suggest. It's hyperbole.

It's often made worse by some of the arguments between two or three posters that can go on for pages that make it look like more people than it is. Sorry for drifting too far off topic.

Jordan killed it the first game no doubt, but are people already counting out Chandler?

I haven't seen a single person do that. Is this happening? If anything, I've seen some suggest he should sit this next game only to make sure he's healthy after that.

I totally get it. We're all fans here. If I say Tim Jordan is going to make us forget John Kelly by mid-season, I'll stack up "likes" and high fives all around. Throw out a negative theoretical without anything substantial, and people get riled up. I do it too, I'm sure.

So... Tim Jordan is going to make us forget John Kelly by mid-season.

Who is John Kelly?

By the way Rams released their week 1 depth chart.

There aren’t many surprises here, but quite possibly the biggest is at running back. Malcolm Brown is Gurley’s primary backup, which was somewhat unexpected in its own right, but John Kelly isn’t even the No. 3 guy. That job is currently held by Justin Davis, who’s missed time with a hamstring injury.

Rams Week 1 depth chart: Kelly is No. 4 RB, Littleton starting next to Barron

No one is saying Chandler is out, just all the love for Jordan (which he should have) and guys on this page joking about Jordan making us forget John Kelly by mid-season....

I have come a long way to get these 10,000 likes. I shole do appreciate all the VN generosity in giving them out. GBO.

Welp that first game was sobering. Still hoping we can string some wins together. Excited to watch these players and staff grow.

Who do we think plays center moving forward?

I'll be here🙋‍♂️

I think some of your fans have done a flip flop. You were too confident in pre-season, which is common with new coaches. Fans underestimate how hard it is to come in and organize a program and get college players to understand new schemes. That was obvious with your defense against a very good passing team. I also thought WVU defense played way better than anybody expected them to.

Now you're underestimating how much the team will improve as the season goes on. They're on the steep part of the learning curve and by the latter half will execute a lot better. Georgia's inexperienced defense is in the same place right now. Shutting out Austin Peay looked good on paper, but our defense didn't look good to me. They should be better later in the year, but this weekend against USCe could go bad for UGA. If that happens, our fan base will over react too I guess.
