Unbelievably terrible luck for Kennedy. Feel awful for the young man. Anyone here familiar with what circumstances are needed to get a 2nd medical redshirt from the NCAA?

Haha. Florida gave up 200+ yards rushing to Charleston Southern????

Florida only had 400 yards of offense???

Last year Mississippi State only allowed 50 yards to those guys.

UF has 350 yards in the first half and scored on all but one possession. They allowed 5 yards until the final drive of the first half, which is when they started pulling starters. They also had multiple starters suspended(😂), context matters just plainly looking at stats isn’t a good indicator of how they played. Cmon man

From what I remember, typically you aren't eligible for a 2nd medical redshirt unless the first redshirt you received was also medical. To my knowledge, he simply took a non-medical redshirt his first year at Bama. Then, he got hurt as a RS-Sophomore when he broke his foot/leg. He didn't get a 2nd redshirt after that, so I don't expect he'll get one this time around. Will likely be a RS-Senior next fall for us.

Miss two seasons I believe. They’re pretty rare but that’s also because a lot don’t apply for them (like Maggitt)

Perhaps, but it definitely hurts our depth. He might have developed into a quality starter after a tough opening loss or he might have just been a gap filler, who knows, but it still sucks.

Yea and he started playing better after the first couple series. The first play wasn’t even his fault

Oh well there go our National Title hopes :-( Seriously hate it for the kid. I was just thinking last night, just our luck to get a major injury during these two "sisters of the poor" games. Who's next?

It was Chandler and Coleman for most of the spring. Jordan missed all but the last week of spring camp recovering from an appendectomy-- and still lapped Coleman in the O&W game. Despite an inconsistent fall camp, Coleman took issue with a grad transfer and FR getting reps over him. Being older and going through spring practice isn't an entitlement with this staff.
I agree with this. Also doesn’t make the kid a loser like Bruin said. For somebody that rides his moral high horse all the time that sure was a classless comment.

Doubt he wants to stay in school for two more seasons after this. That's multiple grad degrees. But if he wants to, two season-ending injuries means he can apply for a waiver for a sixth year.

Terrible news. Really hate it for the kid, and for the team. We desperately need to get to 6 wins this year and he needed to play a huge role in that. I would say "next man up" but I don't even know who the next man up would be.

OL is the one position group we can't afford to lose bodies.

Not the first big injury and won’t be the last. Honestly surprised it too this long to lose a starter for the season. Most teams lost a guy or two already over the summer/fall camp.
