We have to play Theo or Sham over Abernathy IMO. Seems like a great guy but he’s not an SEC level safety. These next two weeks are going to be critical in getting other guys up to speed

I’ve been saying that Theo looks good at safety since Spring ball. With that said, Warrior also stood out a lot during Spring ball so who knows. Coming into the Fall, I thought our best safety tandem was probably Warrior/ Jackson.

One thing that stood out this weekend is how quickly many players went back to default techniques. They were executing in camp-- which fueled the optimism-- but during the game, many players reverted to the poor tackling, bad angles and missed assignments that have plagued their careers at UT. When instincts took over, quality of play decreased.

So Austin is probably right about most of the older players. Poor technique and attitudes are deeply ingrained and not easily changed. The new guys are faster, seem highly coachable and have less mental baggage. They're the upside.

Lines are just public perception of the teams to get equal money on both sides. I think Kentucky's got a decent shot to beat UF, as do we.

On paper, this is the most talented UK team ever (in terms of recruiting rankings).

I mentioned it yesterday, but they beat a decent MAC team by 15 despite being -4 in turnover margin.

I absolutely love taking UK catching 15 pts in the swamp. That is my stone cold lock of the century, of the week.

Their QBs are awful

So many in the FF think FL is in just as bad shape as us...view that game as a toss up. I was looking at the lines this weekend...FL is a two TD favorite vs. KY. I doubt we would be a 14pt fav vs KY. Just sayin.

That’s the line value from a blowout of Charleston Southern versus a 15 point win versus Central Michigan, which was a one point game at half. We would not be a 14 point favorite this week, but it depends on what both teams do going forward.
