It’s hilarious. These guys get cult leader status around here until it goes south then everyone pretends they saw it coming the whole time and never liked the guy in the first place.
This is basically a lie. Most people that are positive and are “on the train” too long admit they were wrong after the fact and usually point to a specific game where they finally gave up on the coach. Like for me it was UF last year for Butch. Was miss st for Dooley. Wher have you seen someone that was supportive of a coach come back later and say “I knew it the whole time”?

You are one of the most FOS, wannabe insider posters on here.

I don't know how you judge a coach based off of his first game against a top 20 team with the lack of talent that we had. Were they perfect? No, but dang guys, one game against a first round NFL QB with our talent on defense is a tough game to judge. I thought we were more talented than we are, clearly I was wrong. Lets give the man some time before we start judging him.

Think he learned anything from Saban about processing?
Hope he sees the need but things have changed, only 25 scholarship per year. You can't sign 30 to 35 and process different rules now going take long to turn most programs around. Unless you get the stud QB that can win games on their on .

After rewatching don't blame him. Score not reflective of the game. It was still in reach until 5 to 6 minute mark when we didn't convert 4th and goal. Then we went in tank.

Score should have been 10-7 at halftime but refs didn't call the crackback block. If Abernathy could tackle who knows if West VA even gets that TD. Either way I'll give them that TD still and just say 3 less pts.

Buchanon doesn't get the cover 2 call on RB wheel route which is a TD instead of a FG. If he gets the call he is in position to where that throw isn't made. So let's say 4 less pts plus the 3 in firs time half = 7pts.

Puts you at 33-14 again. We missed 2 scoring chances in 4th qtr. overthrow screen pass that had 6 or at minimum huge play into redzone written all over it. Blocks were in place out front. Also after Theo forced fumble we get stopped at 2 td line. Not saying we win but get those plays and you would have had a tight game at end.
This is all true, and I didn't see it till I rewatched the game. The score was deceptive. If Pruitt can get marginally better play from some positions we can be a tough out.

I wonder if he thought we were all just following a sunshine pumping cult leader when he declared Trey wouldn’t play this year and we didn’t take his word for it?

I think we all understand that we have to have better players. I was relatively pleased on ESD last year given that our staff wasn't fully assembled, CJP was still part-time or whatever you call it at Bama, and we still had NSD in the back pocket. NSD was frankly a disappointment from my perspective. The class being assembled looks good but with so much reliance on out of state talent nobody can say whether this class will hold if we don't get any lucky bounces and wind up with another losing season. It feels like we're in a holding pattern while someone is trying to clear a wreck off the runway. Maybe we land safely and arrive at our expected destination? Maybe we're the next wreck? I can't generate false confidence after all the crap we've dealt with the past decade. We needed to hire someone that we could all have confidence in based on experience and results. CJP definitely has his work cut out for him.

Lol, all I said was the he had blood clots like Chris Bosh and from what I’d been told he wouldn’t be allowed to play if that were the case.

To be honest with you, I’m still stunned they’re taking the liability to let him play.

We've got 25 to 30 player's on this team that needs to be at etsu.

Where did you see any of that crap that skipped your butt and plopped out of your virtual mouth. “Don’t allow you to see negative”? Get that Ulysses McGill goo goo bloodletting starter kit dramatic martyr bullshizz out of here! FURTHEREST from my point! FACT! There’s never been a single perfectly called game in the history of sports. There’s always one or a hundred that the big guy would like back! Would it have been cool to see some downfield passing? Sure, but these teachers we’ve hired have seen these players attempt them in practice and held back. Out of what you’ve glimpsed as a coaching mess...I saw NO TURNOVERS on our side and at our most most recent peak performance as a team, I personally witnessed an assload down in College Station! That’s a sign of COACHING! West Virginia beat us...without our help!! There’s REALITY and then there’s what you Reality Warriors try to shove down people’s throats! You were a good one...I’m ashamed of you.
Lol. Like I said, you see zero negative. You don't have an objective bone in your body. You get offended if someone notices he dropped his clip board. I love it you're all in but we've had these exact discussions after each if our previous three hires and we've seen how that has turned out. Forgive me if I take a wait and see with this one.

And now we get the drama of, "I can't even question a coach around here without somebody counter replying."

Guys, that's how it works. Opinion-counter-opinion.

InVOL, I usually like your stuff most of the time, but you've gone super negative since the game. Were you super positive before it or something? Your posts were almost unreadable in the game thread. Way over the top for you.

I kind of expect it from Grumpy Gus Chavis. He always complains about positive posters.

Fans tend to give the benefit of the doubt until they can't. We all know this. It isn't a surprise. It's talked about regularly. Yet, it's still surprising to some that they "just can't be objective."

We were actually very creative on defense Saturday. When/if Pruitt gets his horses we will be really good on that side of the ball.

I feel very confident saying that.

i dont pretend to know much about foosball.

but; i know enough to get on a message board and post opinion as fact 😂 I truly feel like this staff can be special. i never felt that way about Butch.

im much more concerned about the defense and people saying we're slow. i hope people will just be patient with Pruitt.

it's kinda like when Botch took over. it took a year or two to get speed back on the roster. ill give that numbnut credit, we had some speed for a minute. then people peeled the onion back and saw he was a fraud.

Said it before the season, but the Florida game will be the most important game this year. We almost have to win that game if we're going bowling IMO.

The coaching search was bungled yet again. Had Fulmer been AD we would have a proven P5 head coach right now.

Pruitt is still a decent hire and could certainly end up being very successful, IMO, but he's not really what this program needed. We're teetering on the brink of damn near permanent irrelevance, and we were forced to hire a coordinator with zero head coaching experience. It's a huge gamble at an extremely pivotal time for the program.

You can judge a coach week by week, game by game. There's nothing wrong with evaluating what you saw. I've not seen one person call for his job. Most have were disappointed with the outcome but thought it was a pretty decent first game from a coaching standpoint.
