'18 GA LB JJ Peterson (Tennessee signee)

I'm going to be that guy and say JJ looks a little out of shape on his "Snapchat", imo. I hope they wait untill the 3rd game, before they try to play him, even with the 4-game redshirt rule. Wait and let him reek havoc on Drew Lock and/or Vandy later in the year, when he's completely healthy and in shape.

Remember, read me like William Shatner acts

Glad the kid is going to get this opportunity. The Thornton Center will take care of him and I think CJP will too. He has a wonderful opportunity to change his path. Hope he takes it and hope all you morans don’t bash him like you have other players that wear the orange on the field when you are criticizing their play tomorrow.

No one said he wasn’t culpable for having his children so young. Why you feel the need to be antagonistic all the time is beyond me.

The fact remains that having two kids to provide for will significantly impact almost anyone’s performance in the classroom and in many other facets of their life.

I'm of the opinion if you have kids of your own, you can't afford to be a kid yourself anymore. If you bring them into this world, you better damn well be ready to take care of them. That means securing your own future and working your ass off to keep your grades straight BEFORE it becomes a problem. I don't think it's "trashing" a kid to have that expectation of them. And it's not limited to football players, it's any kid in HS. Excuses are easy to make, taking responsibility for your own actions is hard.

Your opinion on child bearing has little to nothing to do with anyone else’s lives. Did his grade issues come first or his children? Has he been having to work in addittion to school and football to provide for his children? Did he have family that could help support him im caring for his children? You don’t know but still feel the need to cast judgement.

Not to mention he actually did take care of his business and the only excuses being made were by fans (not J.J.) that don’t believe anonymous posters judging a kid based on their own morals is an at all respectable thing to do. Especially during the period where all J.J. could do was wait on the NCAA.

I will cheer more when he walks across the floor to get his diploma from UT.

Agreed, I’m all for him succeeding whether it be on the field, in the classroom, or as a father. The Thorton Center will see to it that he has everything he needs to succeed from now until he leaves UT.
