Imagine if every grown person you knew when you were 17/18 judged you for the rest of your life based off things you did at that age.
Sad life to lead if you're taking to logging on online to bash a kid when you don't know his circumstances personally.
Trashing a kid over the 10-20 seconds it takes to post a snapchat story is so dumb. Those same people will sing his praises if he actually ever makes it in and makes a play.
He’s earned his offer on the field and is now trying to earn it from the academic side. Whether or not he makes it in to UT now or later, goes JUCO and ends up somewhere else, or never plays football again, there is no excuse for the way some posters are talking down about a teenager.
Buck yeah!View attachment 165985I'm glad I'm not a highly sought after recruit with apparently a rough childhood so that everyone could make assumptions about me on message boards.
Some of the things I read on here make me cringe.
Some of you are worse than women, judging and gossiping, and get all emotional when things don't work out.
It's called life, it sucks and it's wonderful, it breaks your heart and brings you so much joy, all at the same time.
I hope it all works out for JJ, and if he doesn't get in now then he enrolls in January. He won't make or break our season. If you have been a Volunteer fan for the last 10 years then this is just a blip on the radar as far as unfortunate things go. It won't make make me enjoy one second less of every game.
Hope the best for you JJ and hope you make it here, and if not I hope you get a shot somewhere for those kids sake.
PS - he isn't anywhere in this barn I'm taking down, checked in every stall.
You’re so superior...I did get judged because that’s what happens with colleges when your 17 and 18. I said I was over it and I am. If you can’t understand what bashing is. Facts are facts that this kid didn’t take school seriously and his coach didn’t seem to care cause he just made sure he got in the football field. Have a friends son who is ineligible right now D1 football cause he did the same thing. You want to play D1 football then do your work on the field and classroom I guess you are like Rush. Just get him on the field at UT then use him up. I care more about the kid cause I want him to succeed in life and unless he changes, it is going to be hard for it to happen. Do Snapchat all you want but make it happen in the classroom. Being over it and moving on is where I am at. You can be like rush and so many in his life that have enabled his lack of an education. Just cheats the kid in the long run.
