For some reason, I'm thinking we take a shot downfield on first play. Then again, it could be Austin Pope on a fullback dive for all I know. It'll be interesting to see what Helton does tomorrow. I'm guessing he would like to be more conservative the first game and let the QBs build some confidence with a short passing and running game. Or if he's feeling lucky or daring, he could test WVU's inexperienced corners right away and put them on notice. Don't really see Pruitt as much of a riverboat gambler, but ya never know.
Well I think the non-trust in the QB’s will accentuate the short passes, not eliminate them.
As much as we would like to run the ball it’s not just going to work without a semblance of a passing threat. Which is why I bet our entire offense will be some pattern of run up the middle/play action screen/run up the middle/play action curl.
So why can we post about West Virginia's schedule and the scrubs they beat last year but we can't mention how terrible Tennessee was last year? That's hypocritical and homerism at its finest. We want to talk about how West Virginia really isn't that good, and use their schedule last year as an arguing point, but then we don't want to reference how bad Tennessee was last year because, well, yeah, you know, that was last year.
