You’ve said we’d be lucky to make 6-6. You’ve said that we don’t stand a chance against WV. You’ve said we have next to no talent on this roster. Do I really need to go on? How come everyone else can see it but you?
You guys really should ignore him. You’re giving him the attention he wants. Obvious trolls gonna troll. Ignore him and he goes away, for all of us.

Thinking Joe Namath a greater QB than Peyton Manning, on a UT board mind you, is not being a realist at all, it's called being a weird creeper. To deny being a weird creeper, when all evidence points to the contrary, is not being a realist at all, it's being an even bigger weird creeper.
Ah now SugarCC is trying to make others believe I said Joe Willy was better than Peyton Manning. That's rich. Prove it hoss apple.

It's kinda weird, listening to posters talk about their imaginary friend. That must be what it is, cause I don't see who they are referring to.

No UT fan I know would ever think of Joe Namath over Peyton Manning when thinking of great QB's...I don't care how eat up with BVS and negativity one is, or how "real" they're trying to be. With that being said, what does that leave when talking about what this guy truly is?
You need to get a grip with some of this bull doo doo you're spewing. Peyton Manning is one of the top 5 quarterbacks to ever play. Joe Namath isn't. Never said otherwise. All this negativity bull hockey that folks say I spew isn't legit. Let's hear one negative thing I've said that isn't true. Sargent tried to take me earlier today and he crapped his pants attempting to do so. Evidently it goes unnoticed, but I've been extremely positive about the direction I think the program is going.

Can someone please help me out?
How do I bring an old post, from a different thread, into this thread?

6-6 would have us outperforming Vegas and more than likely finishing about where we were projected in the East, if not higher.

Not sure why someone would be thoroughly disgusted with that

Because what I care about is beating teams with comparable or less talent. And losing to multiple teams that we've outrecruited and who put less talent on the field is something that needs to stop. The team is healthy, we've recruited the talent and we've hired a top-drawer staff. Time to play like it.

All that is fine and dandy but it doesn’t change in 9 months what has been done over a decade. From that it sounds like you expect us to win 9, which is ridiculous for where we are imo

We might have more “talent” than 9 teams on our schedule, that doesn’t make make us a better team

The best case scenario of this season and quite honestly program is if Chryst never sees the field.

I think this would be a bad scenario. No coach worth a darn would keep his backup on the bench during blowouts. So if Chryst never sees the field it's because we can't get a big lead even over our gimmies.

I’m not saying we win 9 but how do you know we’re not a better team?

In this scenario playing the younger McBride or shrout in blowouts would maybe be better.

We could be a much better team and stillonly win 7.

For the record, I think we will be a much better football team. I just think expecting us to beat every team we “out talent” on paper this year is a bit much. Development hasn’t been there for our guys and it takes longer than 9 months to catch up imo

I think we win 7. 8 or 9 wouldn’t shock me because of talent on the roster but I’m not expecting it. We’re more talented than 6 teams on schedule. We’re equally as talented as 3 others. I’m just shooting to beat those better than and 1/3 equal to which is not much. Hoping to be pleasantly surprised.

No, I've said all along that I think 7-5 is reasonable, based on our schedule and talent, assuming we remain healthy.

You seem to place great stock in Vegas odds and media projections. So if the Basketvols, projected to finish #13 in the SEC last year, had finished a lofty #12, would you have considered that overachieving? Because someone who uses media projections as a measuring stick certainly would.
