Good god, Dana Holgerson sounds disgusting. Go clear yourself out before snorting and hacking into a mic.

Dana will choke Saturday at some point. He usually does in big games. Seen it many times when betting in their games. Just not sure what Pruitt will be like as a HC on gameday on that stage yet to know if it will be an advantage. Either way I think we take it to them

Browsing some WV forums. So many 45-17 score predictions. I feel like these fans don’t realize Butch Jones is no longer the coach.

I somehow won’t be surprised if WVU scores 35 or more. But I would be surprised if we are held under 20.

I’m thinking we will see a fairly high scoring game with both teams going above 30.

I'm glad this will be Pruitt's first game so he can get acclimated to a "big game" as a head coach before Florida

It's hard to have expectations of anything at this point. On the one hand, we were 4-8 last year. On the other hand, we have a new coach/staff/S&C.

I wouldn't be surprised to see our defense improve greatly with better coaching. I also wouldn't be surprised if we can't stop the run because we need depth and can't stop the pass because our pass defense hasn't been good in years.

JG and our offensive line were bad last year. I have more optimism for the line but I don't expect JG to be above average this year.

4 year recruiting average of WVU is 41st. For the Vols it’s 15th.

We have a lot of unknowns for sure, but we’re not outmatched talent wise.

I designed the recruiting ranking comparison in advance of the Oregon game a few years back and convinced myself we had more talent than them overall. I learned a powerful lesson that day about the usefulness of that kind of analysis... they have players that were recruited to fit their system. We don’t. Will be a tough slog but fun nonetheless.

Back testing shows talent wins at a 70/30 split.

It’s not foolproof for sure. But we can run with them no problem.

The only thing I can say is that you can’t mention Oregon and West Virginia in the same book, much less paragraph or sentence. I think there were 11 players off that Oregon team that were drafted including three first rounders (Mariota, Armstead, and Buckner). A couple of OL were drafted pretty high, and a couple of DB’s got drafted. Terrence Mitchell and De’Anthony Thomas still play in the NFL. I don’t know WV’s personnel that well, but I am pretty darn sure they don’t match that talent.
