Scott Frost also subscribed to this. Act and dress like something and you might just be something. We finally have a head coach who has a quality that we have not had in our head coach in a very long time… Extreme confidence that borders on the line of cockiness. I like it! His team will follow his lead and play in a similar fashion.
Their o line has some size to it. It's not 5 guys at 280....Even if WVU's RBs have improved, they're running behind a smaller OL without much depth. Remember Pruitt sizing up our players last winter and commenting how small they were. He's going to look at our players now vs. WVU and say, "We big."
Pretty sure most kickoffs will be touchbacks anyway. Pr is more likely to have an impact.

I agree, and I also don't think the emphasize it very much anyway. It does... and it's quite effective in the Big 12. But put their inexperienced RBs (minus their best RB from last year) behind their OL against our front 7 starters and I think we have the advantage. I'm sure there will be a dropoff in our backups, especially in the first game. I'm just not all that concerned that WVU will be able to create a strong running game this early in the season. Maybe I should be... but I'm not.
Shoot man, most of us have been there. I was in a self-induced financial mess a few years ago and it still bothers me that I wasn’t able to give to OB for little Ashley.I would have loved to, but I have been in a mess myself for the last year.
What is your opinion of his role in this whole Zach Smith saga? Based upon the merits of the investigation and what has been reported and not at all on your opinion of his ability to coach football, should he have kept his job? How much responsibility does he have with what happened?Only way I've defended Urb is on the football field, if you haven't noticed

sleegro took the words out of my mouth. i'd start to worry about the run game as the game went on if we're not able to do anything against their passing game. then they'll be able to do whatever they want anyway.I agree, and I also don't think the emphasize it very much anyway.
Should have been fired if he did know and did nothing about it. Everyone involved who knew and did nothing should be fired. If Urban really didn't know one way or the other but heard the talk, he should have reported it to his higher ups and let them conduct an investigation. They all dropped the ball. What is your opinion of his role in this whole Zach Smith saga? i already addressed this in my response to both of you, but i'll just add here, that if there's one thing that carries over from the past two that does concern me is our ability to really be able to stop a run game. i do think our defense on the whole will be better. They do have a big oline but no real highly rated guys. Their ol coach has a pretty good rep too. He was at Texas and ok state I believe. But they don't have any notable RBS. I don't really expect them to be able to run on us.
