To the surprise of no one. People will rejoice because he clearly did what he was supposed to. I mean, he reported it to his boss. That's all he HAS to do. Never mind that he was putting his hands on his wife in front of their children. This is akin to knowing a child is being abused and calling DCS and then shrugging your shoulders when nothing is done about it.
McCaffery accounted for a very large portion of KC's completions 2 years ago when everybody says he had his better year before the injury. Even though his per game stats were pretty much the same both years. So I'd say he counts for the discussion you brought up.Christian mccaffery wasn’t there last year...he was with the panthers.
And what is so special about kaden or Trenton?
Trenton Irwin could barely get off the Line when they played USC. His season high was 52 yards lol. Is that really the studs your defending?
But if you want to go the star rankings route we recruiting better in 2014,2015,2016 which would be most of the players each QB was playing with. And in 2017 we were like two spots behind them.
But even still The whole point was just that Tyler ivens literally couldn’t name another player on Stanford’s team but so banging the table about how loaded they were. Aka he was just talking out of his arse.
If you’re going to tell me how talented they are at least name me more than one player especially at RB which is the most expendable position in football imo.
She was pregnant during the main incident in 2015 that caused the uproar.I'd argue that if a spouse is abusing another spouse in front of his or her children that they are also committing child abuse. It's incredibly damaging for a child to witness that -- sometimes it has a worse psychological impact than direct physical abuse.
If it was bad enough to fire Smith 3 years later after the press found out, then why didn't urb fire him back then when he found out instead of just "reporting" it. The incident didn't change. Only the public knowing about it changed. Keeping him on the staff after finding out is ultimately urb's decision so reporting it to somebody there is irrelevant. To the surprise of no one. exactly. people acting like Urban didn't/doesn't have the authorit to make that call and fire the guy back then vs reporting it to the AD and letting him decide is just freaking naive. he's a decision maker, and certainly doesn't need the oversight of anyone in that administration to fire a staff member that he sees as a problem. If it was bad enough to fire Smith 3 years later after the press found out, then why didn't urb fire him back then when he found out instead of just "reporting" it. That's the question OSU needs to answer. Why did it take 3 years to fire him if urb admitted knowing about it.
Also at the Big 10 Media Days, he hinted that McMurphy was fabricating the allegations or exaggerating them. But he apologized for being unprepared to tell the truth...so no biggie! If it was bad enough to fire Smith 3 years later after the press found out, then why didn't urb fire him back then when he found out instead of just "reporting" it. Irwin was as productive as anybody on our team.
Kaden is gonna get drafted. Dude is really good.
I brought up the stars mostly to point out the offensive line protecting him was 1000% better than the walk-ons (other than Trey) that JG stood behind. I don't even comprehend how you could argue JG played behind as good of a line as KC did either year in Stanford.
But I also brought up the stars because all you said was to name anyone besides Love on their team that was as talented as ours. I believe I named a few that would meet yer parameters.
Here is a quote of yer question so you don't continue to move the goal posts like Bru.
My point is that you claim they didn't have talent which is pretty exaggerated. The 2 years he played they had 2 of the best RBs in the nation and 2 of the best OLines in the nation. They also had really good TEs and enough talent at WR. Their Defense was also way better than ours. Did we have more talent? Probably. But you can't tell me that JG was put in a better position to succeed last year than KC was the last 2 seasons at Stanford. That would be an absurd take even for you. None of the talent we had last season was put in position to succeed. At least admit that overall circumstances (talent, coaching and all the external factors) compared, Stanford was far and away an easier place to succeed than Tennessee.
Didn't urb get "credit" for firing him last month when he "found out". So urb could fire him, but only "reported" it until the press found out 3 years later and then did fire him.exactly. people acting like Urban didn't/doesn't have the authorit to make that call and fire the guy back then vs reporting it to the AD and letting him decide is just freaking naive. he's a decision maker, and certainly doesn't need the oversight of anyone in that administration to fire a staff member that he sees as a problem.
what would the administration really do upon hearing the news that he fired the coach that was beating his wife?
it's completely naive to think that urban did what he was supposed to because he simply followed a protocol.
no, this is actualy more akin to what happened at PSU from a reporting/accountability standpoint. in both cases you could argue, eloquently, that the head coaches invovled, if nothing else, failed to act morally, instead prioritizing football related activities over all else. and as long as there was no heat from above, all is well. all they did was push the CYA button and shift responsibility to someone else. it's a cop out, nothing more, and it worked, cause he'll get to keep his job. well, as long as he continues to win.
can't wait to hear how this whole thing goes over on the recruiting trail when talking to "mamas" all over the place....
It's cool I'm not into autographs. And I won't be attending anymore games until I can prove I'm not cursed. haha. I was answering yer question for ivens, whoever that is. I assume he is some pseudo media guy that is obviously not as smart as I am so I was helping. You responded to me with counter points and then I countered back. If the point was only about ivens not being able to name someone, then why not say so then instead of trying to shut down my points. I guess you couldn't counter back to that so yer ending it with a nice jab. Probably a good move. Always fun.Good god that is not the point lol. The point was Tyler ivens went on a stance about Stanford and literally couldn’t name two players.
Gaurantano will sign a football for you during the volwalk bud. Take it easy.
A lot of folks were trying to talk themselves into him. He was on a few hot lists early on.
