I think all 3 are way over hyped. But we have been many times before too. Especially if I'm in charge of hyping.

XV-Nulla

For me part of being a fan is suspending disbelief. So far in my season prep I''ve got us at 10 wins. I think I've figured out how we beat everybody except Georgia and South Carolina. Both of those I see setting up as challenging because with Georgia it's on the road and we'll be coming off of a major emotional high after beating Florida in Neyland the week before. The same scenario is going to confront us when we have to go into Williams-Bryce stadium after beating Alabama at home the previous week. If we can figure out a way to handle our success this year then I have no resevations about getting to XV-Nulla,

We have not had a lot of guys transfer but we will. CJP is leaning on those he has recruited here and those he recruited and got to know at Alabama. Coaches tend to do that. He likes JT a lot. He won’t start this year but they think he has a future. If JG doesn’t play this year, he will transfer. It will be boom or bust for him as far as UT goes. I think a certain WR who I felt Butch should’ve started on D will be gone as well.

Coaches are working from 7 am till 11:30 at night so dedication is there. CJP is not really involved in the O. Helton is running that show. CJP is heavily involved in the D.

CJP is coaching and absolutely doesn’t care about being anyone’s buddy. I think he will rub a lot of people and is rubbing people the wrong way.

On the other hand, I think we have a good football coach who has a drive for excellence. He has to win and that is and should be his focus. I think he will but he’s never going to be personal like CPF. Just win and it will be alright

UF was 4-7 last year… and ranked #27 in the preseason Coaches Poll. Tennessee was 4-8 and didn’t get a vote. SCAR, which squeaked by UT in the final seconds, thanks to our complete redzone incompetence, is #26. There’s a negative bias against UT based, in part, on variables that are no longer relevant. It's not going to change until we win some big games—and WVU and UF would be an excellent start.

Florida will win about 8. Before I see us play WV, I have them as maybe a 4 point favor over Tennessee but I’m very willing to let go of that opinion

Oh nice, didn't realize he went to Ooltewah. I grew up in East Brainerd. My brother went to Ooltewah. And I guess it's Laszlo Toser which is a little less cool but still a badass name.
Sounds like an international financier with ties to arms dealers. Cool azz shizz! 😎

SCar is currently a better version of Franklin's Vandy teams. They are benefitting from a down east, and outperforming their actual stats. Muschamp is recruiting slightly better than what they've historically gotten, but still not to Spurriers level. They are going to be a 7-8 win team year in and year out that occasionally upsets a top team

Watching a replay of the ‘98 Arkansas game. I was at that game but this is the first time I’ve been able to see it on Tv. A few thoughts:

- Tee Martin really wasn’t very good —at least not that day. Terribly inaccurate.

- Travis Henry was a damn man. So powerful.

- We were so lucky. Honestly. God smiled on us.

Full confession ... I was standing in the breezeway on my way out when Stoerner fumbled. I saw the play but I was on my way out. That was the last time I gave up on the Vols.
I was sitting on the side of my bed with my head down. I did hear the play, but did not see it. I do remember thinking we just need one first down to be in FG range. We got a little more than that.

So basically what they have always been.

In keeping with the teachings of Jesus, I try to not let hate abide in my heart... but there is a tiny little corner down in there. It is where the poop, darkness, and my feelings about Florida & Alabama percolate and fester.
Well, if it makes you feel any better, the hate is residing in your large intestine...not in your heart.

UF and UGA have much easier schedules. UT's schedule is brutal, with the most ridiculous stretch of games in CFB. And UF generally receives the benefit of the doubt, while people are quick to discount anything positive about UT. The Lost Decade has earned UT the reputation of being a chronic underachiever, and not just in football. WVU is a tough opener-- but a real opportunity to start changing the narrative. I think we can do it.

Doesn't have anything to do with this post, but how do you think Pruitt is getting along with those inside the organization? A poster above just mentioned that he's rubbing a lot of people the wrong way, but not sure how credible he is.
