Interesting to hear Jordan Murphy, Theo Jackson, and Bryce Thompson returning punts. Good options there.

We will miss Trevor Daniel.
Yes, UT is going to miss Daniel. Other than Kelly and Gaulden, imo, Daniel is UTs biggest loss from last year.

I love Thompson and Murphy returning punts and at WR. Yes, I know Bryce is at DB right now, but I still want him at WR, so explosive with the ball in his hands.

With Chryst we win 6 games and a bowl no doubt. With Guarantano we COULD win 8-9 games.

That’s where I’m at.

Honestly I don't see this year being much different with either one. It's the future that looks so much brighter if JG wins the job and plays fairly well

SIAP, been super busy with work today and haven't been able to keep up with the board. Anyone notice TE #84 James Brown doing conditioning work on the sideline yesterday during the open practice? Is he coming off injury? Trouble/Suspension conditioning work? Just wondering if anyone had some insight.

If Brandon Johnson doesn’t drop a ball in his hands and Abernathy doesn’t fall asleep we win 6 last year with worse coaches and one of the softest Offensive lines ever assembled. I don’t think it’s far fetched that the floor is 6 games for either true. I just get the feeling Gaurantano can eek out another win or two simply with better coaching and the willingness to throw downfield.

JG didn’t make the big mistakes either. To that end Chryst doesn’t have the advantage. Will receivers fight to get open for both or subliminally prefer one over the other... THAT is another differentiator. Will Jennings and Callaway bust their tails beyond 15 yards down field or know in the back of their mind Chryst is gonna bail and find the outlet pass and figure what’s it worth?

Good job, engineer...you fixed it before I could quote it. I was like, sublimably?!?!

I just can't blame that drop on Johnson. JG threw a perfect pass, late, but damn, he threw it hard. I'm not sure OBJ or Antonio Brown could have caught that pass. I can blame sh!tty play calling on that last series, tho. UT should have still scored, but yeah, 6 wins were very doable. That KY game was winnable, too

JG was held back by Butch. It nearly got him killed last year. He has an arm . Make the defense respect it and they can't rush 8.

The high 4 ⭐️ JUCO brought in for immediate help, at a huge position of need, who couldn’t get on the field.

All-timer

Richmond is a four year starter who isn’t great
Let’s see how Richmond performs now that he’s in a real S&C program, and has an actual Oline coach. So many of these players have underachieved....certainly not just him. I honestly think a lot of these guys are much better than their current reputations, and we will see that this year. Clown shoes did nothing to develop any of these guys. As good as he was, imagine what Barnett could have been with this staff....

It doesn't get much more impressive than that, imo, taking a jump ball away from the master, Jennings. Bryce has mad ball skills and although I prefer him at WR, it won't hurt my feelings if he ends up starting at DB. I see a lot of Deon Grant and maybe even Carl Pickens in Bryce. I know it would be asking a lot from a freshman, but would love to see Bryce get a couple of plays a game on offense along with punt and kickoff return duties, also

Just to play devil’s advocate here maybe a dink and dunk type of offense could burn some clock for us against a team like WVU, and make the game shorter. I believe a smart plan against WVU would be to limit their possessions and have extended drives on offense

I say you run it down their throats. They gave up 500+ yards to Kansas on the ground. They have lost defensive players. You run it until they can stop it and then you mix the game plan up and open up some big plays.
