Simonton and Price...

- JG was by far the best QB today
- Taylor was the standout on D, picked off both JG and Chryst
- OL was a mixed bag
- Kongbo and D. Taylor looked good in their new standup roles
- Buchanan didn't have his best day, George looked good behind him
- Tillman flashed with some big time plays
- DWA stood out, he's a player
- Jacob Warren showed he's going to help this team down the road

I thought KC and Chryst were unimpressive today. JG had a great TD Toss in the south end zone early but threw multiple picks. And i thought he babies few deep throws and they came up short when the WR had a step.

KC doesn’t push the ball down field enough at all. Always takes the easy throw or check.

London can play. Him and chandler will be a very good duo.

Taylor is the most athletic CB we’ve had in years.

Taking all this with a grain a salt. Players always start showing out this time of year but when it comes to the regular season hear nothing out of them.

Trey could play anywhere, sure he could play center if he had a few days to work on his snaps.

Richmond is strictly a tackle.

Hall has only worked at RT that we've seen right now.

Johnson has worked some at RT in the past but I think they view him as an interior guy.

Kennedy has only worked at C that we've seen but he looks like a guy who could play some guard.

Calbert is working at LG pretty exclusively from what we've seen. I think he could play RT but they like him at guard.

Carvin has only worked at guard that we've seen, that looks like his home.

Brooks has played some center in the past but is working at RT now, got some work there today with the 2's.

Tatum played both tackle spots today.

Neihaus has worked both tackle spots though he looks like an emergency only player.

Johnson worked at LT today, I would say he will get a look at RT. Needs to get a lot bigger.

-- Rob Lewis, when asked who fits where on the OL

Any other impressions today?

-Love Taylor. He showed why he started at CB like 4 days after converting. Will only get better.
-JG made some great throws but turned the ball over some, missed some easily throws.
-KC won’t push the ball down field. He constantly takes the easy throw. Gives up on first progression too easily. Especially with our WRs
-DWA made our LBs look bad in coverage. (I think he’s that good)
-our WRs May drop a few passes but they are really crisp in their routes. Best in a long time.
-London and chandler are both really good out of the back field.
-Tracy rocker hates our DL 😂😂

So we have a college version of what the KC chiefs had. KC= Alex smith JG=mahomes.

Let’s see what one of the best QB coaches of all time thinks of INTs in practice
‘If you don’t have the intestinal fortitude to test the offense, you’re going to be one of those quarterbacks that checks it down every time.’ - Chiefs’ Andy Reid on Patrick Mahomes’ interceptions

You make me want to believe but your never ending positivity is

Wait, what?

Seriously, you may be on to something, I sure hope so.

Lol! Tbh I dont have much faith in JG but we shall see what he does with a new coaching staff!

It’s a two way street. Alex smith has won a lot of games and played some good QB. You can also make stupid throws downfield too. It gets cam, Flacco, etc in trouble a lot.

I also think pat maholmes comparison to JG is a bit far fetched. That dude literally has a bazooka attached to his shoulder.

Yeah, I just mentioned in the practice thread, all the talk of Chryst not looking that good is the last thing we needed to hear, even for JG's biggest fans.
JG "clearly leading" against a very good Chryst would be great, JG beating out a "mediocre" Chryst tells us nothing.

It tells us he’s better than average

Except most reports say jg has looked good. Some just don't wanna believe it.
