It’s so nice for a football team to have a reliable kicker. Couldn’t tell you the last time I felt good about one of our kickers making a FG regardless of distance.

Seriously between the two teams there has to be 15-20 guys on the field who were pro bowl players in the NFL. Tons of talent on the lines and at dB

Bout 20 years ago... Jeff Hall... last one I remember feeling good about... and he missed some important ones lol

I really thought Daniel Lincoln had it. He was pretty clutch in 2007 and fell off the map in 2008. And it hurts to talk about 2009 @ Alabama so that's all I have to say about that.

How different the landscape of college football was. The SEC was completely different, the east was supreme.

So forgive my ignorance but can someone give me the lowdown on Byrd. Is the staff gonna start him out on offense or defense in camp?

I just don’t get how a kid can shine like that on the field of an AA game, surrounded by other elite prospects, and not be able to at least contribute here...

You’d think he could at least be a quality gunner on punt coverage :dunno:

Really strange. He was shutting them down in practices as well as the AA game. Got a lot of ink about it. Comes here, Butch makes him a pretend receiver and he's now unable to cut it back on D. Whatever - time to move on I guess.

Byrd’s attitude has been poor the entirety of his stay here... and this defense isn’t as simple as before it takes someone who is committed... won’t surprise me if he walks...

His freshman year showed some comparable promise production-wise.
