We are an entitled, petty, barbaric country: Handicapped parking shooting

If words bring you to violence you must not have much going for you. I have too much stuff to fight some ******* over his mean words.

I generally agree and I try to live my life by the sticks and stones motto, however I am pointing out that others have indicated in previous topics their willingness to whoop some ass in order to teach a lesson to someone who was not necessarily being violent. That whole macho man attitude runs counter to the defense of the shooter that we are seeing now.

I dont agree that bodily harm is the same or a reason to shoot someone UNLESS is was unprovoked. That was clearly not the case here. If the guy had hit his head and died the other guy would be in jail.

Well duh... He was the one that escalated it to a life threatening situation. It was a cussing match to that point. The shooter never brandished his firearm, he was never a physical threat staying a decent distance from the car. The guy that died escalated it to a physical confrontation.

Strange thing to lie about.

Exaggeration, Hyperbole, Superficial emotions, bravado and hubris aren't strange in the internet. Is it a lie...I guess you could call it that.

Take me for example. I never talk politics IRL. Haven't been in an argument (not counting wife) in 2 decades. I mostly keep to myself in the real world. I interact with the morons here than I do anyone.

Fair enough.

Indeed. Cheers to us and the others.

Watch the video again and pay close attention to the right side/hand of the victim. As the crazy dude brings the gun out, he blades ever so slightly to where his right side isn’t visible to the crazy dude. If I am the guy on the ground, I see a man who has just assaulted me, I draw my weapon and he blades to me to where I cannot see his hands, I am shooting the guy as soon as he makes a move. The visibility of hands is the most important aspect of self defense. Hands are what hurt you. Hands hold weapons, either real, or imagined. If you cannot see his hands, you have no way of knowing. Compliance is key.

There is a lot of stupid to go around in this one. The lady parking the car where she shouldn’t as well as the crazy dude playing Barney fife. The guy coming out and assaulting the man. This was a disastrous situation all the way around.

Well now you did it. You have one less person to pick McDaughter up next time you leave her at some god foresaken place.

Lol. She had her 20th bday over weekend. Her adoptive grandparents came over. We were sitting around reminiscing and She rolled out that story at the dinner table. Face palm.
