Official Gramps' Memorial Eternal OT Thread

I don’t think he has a problem with the concept as much as the fact that people here aren’t really understanding how to use them or what their purpose is. At least in Europe the populace knows how they work.

I'll admit, the multi-lane ones likely would case more accidents than they would prevent.

Even simple ones like out in west Knox County cause accidents. I was making the 3/4 circle and a car did the right thing, it didn't stop! But it didn't make the loop either. Guy didn't expect to find it there and just bounced across the center curbs and barely missed my rear end. Kept on going. And folks in the loop will have their blinker on and slow down as if they're going to turn in to where you're just getting ready to enter the circle, ... and lay on the horn because you do.

Who's the *******, the person that uses the last of the toilet paper on the role and doesn't put a new roll on or the person that yelled about no TP on the holder?

Does anyone here routinely use he term case quarter or are you all decent human being and just call it a quarter?

There is a thread about a kid paying a $45 tab with mostly "case quarters" in the Pub/Restaurant thread.......pretty dang funny if ya ask me......

I saw that on the news yesterday I think. The restaurant was taking a public assbeating for their snarky comments.

It’s dumb. It all goes in the register the same way, and it goes to the bank for deposit the same way. Plus the guy gave over 20% tip. I would think lots of waitstaff would like that “douche” treatment.

And the Facebook post wasn’t sarcasm, it was clearly a gripe. I hope the building burns down and everyone working there gets SARS.

Lol..the only time I ever use the term "case quarter" is if I have to put air in my tire at a gas station and don't have enough of them in my ashtray. Then I say " I'll give you 3 dimes for a case quarter, need to get air." To a stranger. In theory, this removes the idiocy of someone trying to give me 2 dimes and a nickle that I can't use, and also tells folks I am not panhandling like the millions that are.. in theory

That’s what the “a” is in “a quarter”. It means one. Quarter.....
