Special counsel Mueller charges 12 Russian intelligence officers with hacking Democra

I think you're ignorant on how diplomacy works, and that what you want Trump to do will lead us back to the Cold War. Is that what you want? Do we really need to return to the years of going head to head, each side trying to outdo the other in an arms race while living under the cloud of possible nuclear war? It seems to be what you're advocating for.

BB is advocating anything that delegitimizes, obstructs, deflects, throws shade, casts doubt, or out right nullifys the valid electoral result giving us our 45th president Donald J Trump.

There was a diplomatic way to handle this summit without placing Putin's credibility on par with our intelligence agencies. Trump should have held a press conference separate from Putin and stated that he unequivocally believed the assessments of our intelligence community, including his own DNI. He could have pushed for better relations with Russia, while making it clear that Russian meddling in our future elections is unacceptable. He did none of that. He looked weak in the process.

The U.S. would lose this one. We lost the trade war so we would lose the cold war. Our economy isn't up for it.

Time to stop worrying about the rest of the world and start rebuilding ourselves, which I think Trump is attempting to do, but the left keeps screaming "but our allies". Our "allies" have taken advantage of our generosity to the point they see it as something they are due, not something that was given. If we continue to ignore what's best for us, focusing too hard on pleasing everyone else, we're going to hasten our own downfall.

That is not true. I have said many times throughout this thread today, that the Russian interference had no impact on the outcome of the election but that still doesn't make it right that they did it. Trump should hold them publicly accountable for it but he hasn't.

I don't think either of us are up for it.

And if Democrats have their way, they'll be the one pushing the button to start the MADness.

Lord only knows why they hate this country so much.

I've noticed a trend of conservatives here putting words in other poster's mouths. I never said the election was "rigged". Nobody here did. The hacking of the DNC and John Podesta's personal e-mails and their subsequent dissemination on WikiLeaks was done in order to give Trump ammunition to attack Clinton with on the campaign trail which he gladly did.

Now, I have said many times, that I don't believe that this had ANY impact at all on the outcome of the election itself. However, that doesn't make it okay that Russia did it. Trump should be able to acknowledge that they did it. It doesn't undermine the legitimacy of his Presidency to admit that Russia interfered.

NorthDallas40,

I posted this several hours ago. I have posted several things of this nature throughout this thread. What you said was bull s***.

He sanctioned them. He sanctioned oligarchs. He expelled diplomats and closed offices. Are you really saying that all he needed to do was publicly scold them. Is that all it will take to make you happy? We all know the answer is no

He was forced to sanction them due to an overwhelming vote in Congress! How many months did it take him to implement those sanctions? They missed several deadlines in the process.

If you read the DNI report they are “Highly Confident”, which they put in the disclosure that it’s not a “certainty” or a “fact”...therin lies the rub, unfortunately.

I'm highly confident resident libs won't spend the time to read the link I posted, unfortunately.

So they've charged 12 guys that will never be extradited....so there's no way they'll be convicted.... PLUS.... the FBI hasn't even inspected the DNC server.... they're relying on Crowdstrike which was hired by the DNC.... this makes a lot of sense doesn't it?

That is ridiculous. Read the statement that Dan Coats released today for crying out loud and stop splitting hairs. He believes that Russia interfered and said so.

I read his statement.
Did you read the DNI report?
It’s compelling yes, but why not “certain” ?

This is my point of contention. Why must it be public? Trying to embarrass Putin in front of the whole world is a mistake, imo. You talk about Trump's ego, but how big do you think Putin's ego must be. And unlike Trump who is subject to checks and balances, Putin has none. Whatever response Trump has should be done behind the scenes. It's not necessary to turn this into a soap opera for the world to see.

He’s right though. They can’t actually prove it. That’s why all this hand wringing is ridiculous. Everyone tries to hack us. The Chinese are far worse in that respect. But I don’t hear you clamoring for war with them. In fact, quite the opposite. You criticize trump for acting against them. You are quite ridiculous

You have continually thrown shade and cast doubt and advocated obstruction for as long as I’ve been posting in the PF. Just started earlier this year posting in here.

We get it. You don’t like him. You want him gone. At any cost.

Screw Putin's ego and this weak walking on egg shells garbage. He is not our ally.

Then you know damn well that he has concluded that Russia interfered!!!!!!!!!!

Why not say “guaranteed factually 100% without question “, rather than “highly confident” ? Because they can’t bro, and I wish they could, sucks I know.

I do want him gone and I think he will be on January 20, 2021. I don't think he should be removed from office before then and I don't think he will be.

100% agree. I completely want us to get along with UK, France, Germany, and the other EU countries. I could care less about the “EU”. And I don’t think we should kiss their ass to get along with them.
