Special counsel Mueller charges 12 Russian intelligence officers with hacking Democra

That is not true at all. How many times am I going to have to quote this "... I don't see any reason why it would be ... " In that comment, he is saying that he doesn't see why Russia would have meddled in the 2016 election, and he is in turn, siding with Putin and Russia.

...and give me a break, he has seen proof that has been sufficient enough for all of Congress including Republicans.

You can quote it all you want......does not mean what you twist it into.....

Um, we have the proof dude.

Trump, the "tough" guy, cowers in homage to Putin. About as tough as a six year old bully hiding behind his momma's skirt.

Until you can provide what was said in the closed door meeting.......it all just theater........and you are acting like a teen-age girl.....

It is amazing the level of ignorance on display.....

I know. Most of us who are parents learned a long time ago that if you issue an ultimatum that you better be ready to back it up or lose the whole battle. Better to choose your battles - especially when the world is watching. What you tell a wayward child in a grocery in a PC world with everybody and a cellphone watching isn't what you tell them when you get home.

Sooo. If there are 12 bad people in Russia that hacked the dnc, that means the whole country is responsible? Russia is responsible? Putin is responsible?

Unless you want to suggest that agents of the Russian military acted of their own volition and without the express consent of Vladimir Putin? Yes. I doubt those guys go to the bathroom without his permission.

Sure it is because the decision had to have been based on Russian (government, mafia, Putin, et al) consensus ... just like we reach here in VN.

They do not work for the Russian government. My understanding is they are former members of the gru.

I’m going to assume mueller has proof they are indeed tied to the Russian government and received direct orders from Putin.

If not, yalls skreeeeching was a waste of time.

Putin wants Mueller to come to Moscow. Open invitation along with Rosenstein and Sessions over these phony 12 indictments.

Bet they won’t go. How disappointed will the Dims be?

Newt Gingrich (Former House Speaker and Fox News Contributor - his wife, Calista, is U.S. Ambassador to the Vatican) tweeted this earlier:

"President Trump must clarify his statements in Helsinki on our intelligence system and Putin. It is the most serious mistake of his presidency and must be corrected -- immediately." - Newt Gingrich

So, apparently, I wasn't alone earlier. Trump cited with Putin over the assessment of our intelligence agencies and it's a disgrace.

So if Trump karate chopped Putin and punched him in the throat on camera, the anti-Trumper's would have crucified him for that.

I was sitting with a good friend of mine who is a hard core trump guy. Retired NYC cop. He was pissed about his comments today. Still in his corner but pissed. It was a misstep at minimum.

Obviously the usual suspects are overreacting, but I do think this was a mistake on Trump's part to say what he said.

Not being sarcastic, but what should Trump have done in hindsight? It came across to me that Trump was trying to be peaceful to sow relations with a major nuclear power. What good would attacking him on camera do? No one still knows what was said in private.

I agree in situations like this we need to present a uniform front. It doesn’t have to be confrontational but we need uniformity.

But that is difficult as hell when literally any statement he offers is lambasted regardless of content. It’s ridiculous. And it’s exactly how Russia wants to see us act.

They will never EVER admit it but the continual nipping just to nip and obstruct by the left is exactly what Russia wants. They are just as big of a problem as any other part of equation.

And Trump won’t take it from them. He has been 100% consistent on that. That’s just the way it is. Doesn’t matter if it’s from the Oval Office, on the can in the residence, or in Helsinki he’s more than happy to let the left have it back. It’s what got him this far, so why should he change now?

Dan Coats (Trump's own nominee for Director of National Intelligence, by the way) gave this statement earlier:

"The role of the Intelligence Community is to provide the best information and fact-based assessments possible for the President and policymakers," he further added that "We have been clear in our assessments of Russian meddling in the 2016 election and their ongoing, pervasive efforts to undermine our democracy, and we will continue to provide unvarnished and objective intelligence in support of our national security."

Coats' statement came just hours after Trump stood next to Vladimir Putin at a news conference in Helsinki and accepted the Russian president's denials of interference in the U.S. election.
