Why isn't the board in full melt down?

I merely pointed out that the conservatives on the board ignored most of what Obama actually said on his apology tour. It seems that this should be treated similarly, but it isn't.

I am not freaking out about anything. Don't really care what Trump says. He has reduced the presidency to a cartoonish figurehead that gets zero respect from other leaders. However, I actually think he is correct in many of his assessments regarding some issues, but I find it hard to support the buffoonery and the manner in which he presents those assessments. The constant hyperbole causes his message to be lost. Can you imagine the effect the man could have if he didn't act like such a clown?

so you aren't freaking out and don't care so much you had to prove with a thread?

I have always believed if he put down Twitter most of the complaints against him would go away, so I agree to an extent. What I am actually afraid of is he knows how people react to his shtick. so while it isn't presidential he is getting exactly what he wants. its the "fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me." at this point people reacting is where the shame belongs, imo of course.

he has a YYUUUGE ego. responding and calling him an idiot just plays into that. the best thing you could do is ignore him, and as soon as his ego finds no validation he loses all his power. try it.

I am about 60/40 for what Trump has done. I am about 10/90 on what he says.

If he put Twitter down, the media would have little to report on.

Just the same, it is his weapon in fighting against the rampant negativity they spew on a daily basis about him.

I disagree. His messaging makes him more effective. He wouldn’t be president otherwise. I care about results.

Awesome! Another screech thread!

Point me in the right direction and let me at 'em, coach! I'm ready to do my part for the cause!

(what am I going off about again and do we have pre-made signs?)

The pre-made screech signs go back to 2008, surely you'll be able to dig one out of the closet.

Or you can just borrow one of airvols', he's got one for every occasion, just change the name.

It's an internet forum, threads get started about topics.

It's how this place works.

Or is every thread and poster now a "screech"? If everyone is screeching, no one is screeching.

eggs and chickens...

As to your previous post about not knowing what to be angry about... the point of this thread was to point out the hypocrisy of politics. If your guy does it=good. Other guy=bad.

Not your best reply. Normally, you're a tad more witty.

Trump blamed the US for bad US-Russian relations. I remember when it melted down on the "Obama Apology Tour." Now you've got trump blaming us for bad relations with the leader of a country that murders rivals and does not blink about murdering hundreds of civilians at a pop. Seems to me if there was any consistency the conservatives on this board would be raising hell right now.

You mean like the dictators in Cuba? I think he was speaking directly at the Dimocrats, the fake Russia conspiracy advocates. Just curious why no one is investigating the Russia meddling in the 2012 election, 2008 election? Oh, you only think they started meddling in 2014? I see.

I don't even know where you are going with that hodge podge of thoughts you've thrown out there.

If he was addressing "dimocrats" perhaps he shouldn't have done so on a public forum. The Russian government actually responded to the tweet. And just for the record, your humor never gets old. Really funny stuff.

he made a thread about something, but then turns around and says he doesn't care? its inconsistent. I don't mind him bashing Trump. but don't make a thread and then act like you don't care. unless that is the point, but that clearly wasn't.

“I don’t care what trump says”. But you clearly care what Trump says. You just started a thread about something Trump said

No, you accused him of "freaking out" because he started a thread. Your words.

Are you suggesting that every thread starter is "freaking out?"

I think it’s pretty funny that libs who were embarrassed by the man still continue to underestimate him. He’s a clown... but one that keeps eating your lunch. Makes it even worse then I guess. Lol

Just an aside, I don't always make threads about things I hold near and dear. This topic I just found interesting. I read Trump's tweet and came over here to see if the conservatives on the board were as upset as they were about Obama's statements. I wasn't upset about Obama's statements and I am not upset about Trump's statements. They both rise to a level of meh on my meter.

I actually didn't bash Trump. You guys seem a little sensitive about any criticism of the man. Much like any person there is good and bad. It is just frustrating with Trump because much of the bad is self inflicted and easily avoidable.
