I've never been in the Politics forum before today; it's a fun place to be! All you need is emotion and a desire to advance your own narrative, facts be damned. I'm either going to have fun or an aneurism hanging out in here.

The lawyers are the worst in here.

I disagree. A thirty year old bullying a 16 year old is newsworthy imo. Maybe that particular article is pursuing a political slant, but the overall story itself has merit. Sad when politics motivate you to act like a total idiot. Happens on the right as well.

If the story were reversed, and a young liberal the target, would you still call out trying to push "a larger narrative". JMO, but it's not much different than the MSM and its liberal supporters pushing the Trump/Russia narrative. Take something small and try to blow it up into something big. No actual evidence provided, but let's declare him guilty anyway.

Just an afterthought, you and some others keep talking about letting the Mueller investigation play out. Why? You've already declared guilt so why do we need an investigation?

I'm not saying it was okay but unfortunately there are assaults every day in this country much worse than this. Last night at 'Broadway at the Beach' in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina there was huge brawl that broke out after the fireworks display. Several people got their clocks cleaned. I haven't seen a word about it anywhere in the national media today. I only know it happened because my ex-wife is down there with our two kids and text me about it this morning. The one and only reason that this incident in Texas made some national news and was picked up The Daily Caller is for it's political slant. Basically, it serves a narrative they want to advance - which is, that liberals are harassing poor little Trump supporters and it's becoming a national epidemic. It's tribalism.

A little bit of both if you hang out here long enough. You get use to it. It's kind of a welcomed assault on the senses.

Happens the other way all the time, so why don't you decry articles where the liberal narrative is being advanced? Not saying what you're suggesting isn't true, just that if putting forth narratives offends you, why not call it both ways?

SIAP but I just seen this. I wonder if this has anything to do with Maxine Waters call to arms against Trump supporters? Regardless of your feelings toward Trump, this type of behavior is beyond pathetic.

Texas Bar Fires Man Who Ran Off With Teen’s MAGA Hat And Threw Drink At Trump Supporters | The Daily Caller

Said the 16 year old: I support my President, and if you dont, lets have a conversation about it instead of ripping my hat off,” said Richard to Fox 29 San Antonio. I just think a conversation about politics is more productive for the entire whole rather than taking my hat and yelling subjective words to me.

Reading liberal missives on here is like walking into Walmart. When I do that, I feel like Charles Atlas and Albert Einstein rolled into one. It's a good thing if you are feeling a little down.

Much like you do with "whataboutism", you condemn tribalism on the right while supporting it on the left. Even when you make a sound argument, it's hard to take you seriously because you don't apply the same standard evenly.

That guy was completely out of line. I dont condone his behavior at all. But what crime was committed? The article I posted outlined two possible crimes against a minor. But I guess because the minor is a Trump supporter, he doesnt matter right?

Guy in EL's story was arrested and charged, so a crime was committed. Guy in your story should be arrested and charged as well.

Did you watch much of the campaign coverage from 2016? Trump supporters going to rallies...know how many were harassed? Assaulted? Rallies forcibly entered by the left in an effort to shut it down?

Know how many people going to Hillary rallies were harassed, assaulted? How many of her rallies were forcibly entered by the right to disrupt and attempt to shut them down? Go ahead, take your time. I'll wait.

Young woman trying to go to a Trump rally, cornered and pelted with eggs. Found it yet? Keep working. Let's talk about your boys over at ANTIFA. Yeah, real champions of the First Amendment the way they attack and destroy college campuses and other venues forcing the cancellation of conservative speakers. Don't forget assaulting people on the streets they assume to be conservatives or Trump supporters. So yeah, your 30 year old @$$ hat going after a 16 year old kid over a HAT?! One more on the long list of dumbassery from the left. Epedemic? Maybe, maybe not. Trend? Damn right.

"Knock the crap out of 'em, would you? Seriously!"

"Just knock the hell - I promise you, I will pay for the legal fees. I promise. I promise."

Remind me, was it Hillary who said this at rallies or was it Trump?

Was Hillary getting heckled at her rallies when she was calling Trump supporters deplorable?

It goes both ways.

Just as I suspected. Because the kid is a Trump supporter, its completely fine. Your post shows the absolute absurdity that has been demonstrated by the left ever since Trump was elected. See something you cannot handle? Either result to violence or excessively whine and cry.

This should be absolutely newsworthy. Why? Because it involves a minor. If this were a conservative doing it to someone wearing an Obama or Clinton hat, I would be saying it was totally uncalled for and pathetic.

You can make light of the "narrative" all you want. But multiple incidents have occured involving Trump supporters and liberals. And your girl Maxine has now pushed it into high gear aftef the Sanders restaurant deal.

So I guess a newspaper in Seattle is also using it as a political slant huh? Man accused of attacking teen wearing MAGA hat arrested | KOMO

And there it is. The only argument you ever bring. ****ing broken record.

At what point does the overwhelming display of classlessness, animosity and violence tip towards the left side of the equation? Aren't you supposed to be above the eye for an eye thing?

I said the guy responsible was out of line... "assaulted"? Meh, not exactly how it sounds. I just don't think this is worthy of news coverage. The Daily Caller is aggressively trying to push a larger narrative. If a Trump supporter in Godknowswhere, Alabama gave a wedgie to a liberal wearing a "Impeach 45" shirt, would they report it?

What if that had been your 16 year old son?

IN response to the abuse and assaults from the left toward those attending Trump rallies. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Did she ask people to attack citizens?

Someone did. Every Trump rally there was had gang bangers outside physically attacking older folks trying to get inside. They were busting car windows with Trump stickers, throwing rocks, etc. But I'm sure you're okay with that, heck, probably proud. There's plenty of videos on YouTube of it.

As long as Trump supporters get harassed it's completely fine.
