So to change up the subject a bit, for us to be just transitioning back to pure white and orange with no alternate colors, they are dropping a lot of smokey grey and what seems to be black gear?

Seems like they might have a uniform cooking for 2019? Considering they can't change them this year....?

Edit: BTW these look awesome.

At the end of the day, I think Fulmer sides with the traditionalists for uniforms. Hopefully that means goodbye to the checkered stripes, too. It’s a tacky Butchism. Hopefully we wear the something like the 2006 uni. I’ve finally decided that’s my favorite. Close between ‘04 and ‘06.

Apparently according to Deerpark I think? Or one of the insiders lol they stated Pruitt already wants the checkered stripe gone. And it may be gone on the helmets? If I remember correctly that is?

Definitely like the black on orange there way better than the gay smokey gray's. I'm just a traditionalist through and through. Just don't see programs like Bama, Penn State, and the Southern Cal's of the world doing that stufff. Even though on a national level Tennessee isn't perceived to be that level of a blue blood program.

I like having an alternate occasionally since we have a strong foundational uniform. When schools have like 76 different uniforms it gets annoying.

I actually liked what Butch/Nike did with the uniforms other than the $hit show of 2017 that they will always be associated with.

Smoky grey looked soooo smooth with the Pantone 151.

Same. It’s not a crime to admit something is good, even if it comes from a less desirable person.

Butch was a great salesman (especially at first), an average coach, a terrible game day coach, a questionable leader, and did a lot of good stuff for the program outside of football. All of the above is true.

Hate those, but that’s mainly because Adidas is trash. If they were Nike, I might like them, like you said. Now imagine this look with Nike:
