Roberto Martinez is the Butch Jones of international soccer. Terrible with tactics and strategy. Doesn't know what his best lineup is. Makes inferior competition look good, and gets bailed out by a few key players.

Brazil is about to expose Belgium and Martinez.

I will say that while I hate that the potentially tragic situation happened in Thailand, it is terrific to see all of us unified in hoping everything turns out OK. People are at their very best when they're helping people.

LOL, were you cheering for Croatia or Denmark yesterday? That was a fantastic game!!

For most of the games, I pull for whoever is behind at a given time. My wife's English and my stepson is a serious, serious soccer fan, so my allegiance is England...at least at this point.

The World Cup is interesting...as big as the stars are, they're still not as big as the event. Ronaldo, Messi, Salah...they're all going home and it doesn't really hurt the appeal.

Stephenson is a pretty good defender to add to that mix. If the lakers can flip Lonzo for a better shooting PG they could be right up there with Golden State

GS better find someone to protect the rim or LeBron will avg 50 against them. Losing McGee is a big loss for them even tho he’s not very good.

LOL you’re so delusional about the Warriors due to your hard dick about Lebron

They don’t have a rim protector. It’s what killed them in the series that they lost to the Cavs. You have to actually watch games to know that, not just look at the box score and go from there bud.

Do any of the "cord cutting" options have a DVR-type ability yet? That's my biggest hurdle by far. For most sporting events, I wait at least an hour to start it so that I can skip commercials and halftime.

YouTube TV has unlimited cloud DVR and it is the best one for sports.

Jake...do you have an "old style" aerial antenna or are you getting everything via the internet?

I use an antenna for local. But honestly, aside from live sports... can't tell you the last time I watched something on CBS, NBC, or ABC. Sling gets our local FOX.

OK, so I currently have DirecTV in 5 rooms with DVR. If I wanted to cut it and go with Playstation Vue, I know I'd need to sign up for the service.

Is my understanding correct in the following:

Additionally, I'd need some sort of streaming device, like a Roku stick. Using that stick, I'd install the PSV app (and any other on-demand apps I'd like) and that is how I'd access my content. And, since I would like my local channels, I'd need an HD antenna.

Is that it? Would I have everything I'm used to this way?

My current internet is 50mbps. Would I need to bump that up?
Yep. Ur good to go.

I would recommend going with the Apple TV as your streaming device. I have both Apple TV and a Roku in my house that I use to stream Playstation Vue and the Apple TV is in different league with the interface and usability.

If possible, I would also suggest getting a basic level cable/internet package that gives you 12 or so local channels. That way you can download all the Fox, NBC, etc apps and use your package as credentials to watch for free. I utilize AT&T Uverse in this capacity and it is actually cheaper than just internet alone.

I use my brothers direct tv login for all the other apps. :)
