I don't know about you guys, but I am seriously looking forward to the season starting so we can all unify and rally behind the backup QB.

It's obvious neither QB has shown the ability to lead a team to an elite status. Only one of the QBs has time on his side to do that so that's why I am pulling for JG

I don't know what you are referring to. You are trying too hard. A QB either has the ability to be aware in the pocket or he doesn't...at some stage. It can be learned over time, but year 3 is the time to do it. As Vols4us stated, the coaches will figure it out.

You are a good dude but get too offended in some of these discussions.

The play calling was an absolute joke in the red zone the entire season. It was coaching malpractice almost every time we got there.

Go back and watch the Sc game. We called the same 15-20 plays the entire game and Muschamp keyed in on it easily and completely shut us down in the second half. JG will thrive with a competent play caller

Not taking away from JG during that drive but that’s a pretty easy situation to get down to scoring position. Defense is in a lose coverage and just keeping everything in front (or trying to) so there will be big windows to hit.

Right but it’s his first start and he did everything he was supposed to do. He deserves credit

I'm saying awareness can be coached to a degree.

Look to be clear, I am pretty sure that JG is not the transcendent talent we hoped he would be, but he could still be a solid QB that can win games for 2-3 years. Chryst is a one year rental and that is all.

Ehhhhhh I have about as low of an opinion as one possibly can about butch jones. I really think he’s one of the worst coaches I’ve ever had the misfortune of watching.

I agree the players were to blame but I place a huge amount of blame on butch. This year will show whether that’s fair or not

Obviously hypothetical here but if I could guarantee you that Chryst Starts and we go 8-4, but JG transfers would you take it?

Don't look now, but Brohm and Purdue just passed us in the recruiting rankings with a Butch Jones-esque 18-commit class.
