JJ might become a great WR with this staff. If they can coach him to better fundamentals to marry with his natural physical toughness/fight..he could become a monster.

They need to move him to Safety. He’d be elite there.

He’s an average wide receiver. (Yes, he made one hell of a catch)

Screw moving people around..the guy made clutch PLAYS..not just one...in the two biggest games of the year..that ain't average..plus you missed the coaching point. Big strong tough WRs are hard to come by.

What kind of sense would it make to try and force a guy to make staff changes when he just had the first ten win season there in no telling how many years? Have enough awareness to see that you're Ole Miss. You're not and never will be a big dog in this league.

I think the feeling was that he had mostly underachieved with Manning, even in that 10 win season. and I think the 4-7 follow-up season was just a way to further the belief of if he could only win 7 games a year with a generational QB talent, then he was gonna stink with average dudes.

Not my thought, just believe it was the feeling then

Cutcliff was going to get some good QBs though. He had too much pedigree not to..Ole Piss needed to have patience.

Ogeron was his DC. I think he helped foster the time for a change mantra. He benefited the most. Ole Miss got what they deserved when the fired Coach Cut and hiredcoach ogre...

Kinda like firing CPF and the decade of crap that ensued...

You mean kind of like how CPF helped foster the change from Majors. Except in this scenario, it would be like if CPF had sucked.

Many said Byrd would be an elite DB. How did that work out? If anyone knows DBs, its Pruitt. I would definitely trust his opinion on where JJ should play.

Last in the West is my prediction.
I expect them to fall off a bit, but that would be a HUGE dropoff. They were 2nd-4th in the West last year in most defensive categories and Ole Miss and Arky were worse than we were defensively last year.

Its like gucci and ron are competing at who can bring out the latest info lol

We have a competition brewing here and we all know that competition makes everybody better. Now, if we can get a grad transfer who will leak information to us from the ESPN site, we'll be set :)

I wonder if Blackburn will be Fulmer's pick to replace him in a few years. Would be a dream scenario.

I hope so, because if not, then I will be worried that all the good he will have done will be thrown away with the next hire. The problem will be that there is one or 2 of the big boosters who have a beef with Blackburn. I’m guessing that will cause major problems for him to replace Fulmer.

For those that don't follow closely there are 4 teams left in college baseball. 3 of them from the SEC. Baseball might be the conferences strongest sport

Joe Moorhead might end up making Dan Mullen’s resume at MSU not as impressive (also bet PSU doesn’t look as good). Their recruiting has been great under him and his scheme is so good.

Be interesting to see what Shoop does for them this year

Edit* Swansoned by bout half a day by Darth

I just hope that the loser between Ron and Gucci doesn't transfer...

Unfortunately, just one more sport where we have fallen off of the map.
Maybe we will get back to Omaha someday.

I don't think we can ever be a top half program in the SEC but I do think we make it to Omaha in the next 5-7 years

The state of Tennessee produces the players to be in it every year. We just need a coach that will get them here.
