When Vitello became the Recruiting Coordinator at Missouri he had the Tigers in a regional in 7 of his 8 seasons. He left in 2010 and they have only been to 1 appearance since and it took a run through the Big 12 tourney to make it happen as they wouldn’t have been an at large selection.
At TCU he stockpiled talent to send them to 4 straight trips to Omaha. All of his recruits are now out of the program and they didn’t make a regional. Not sure if the recruiting has dropped off or it was just an off year. Time will tell
At Arkansas his recruits have a legitimate shot at winning a national championship this week and probably have 2 of the top 10 freshman in the country in Martin and Kjerstad.

Step away from the kool aid...it's good to be optimistic but Vitello development as a manger is still the big unknown.

Step away from razor blades and the rat poison and take your pessimism somewhere else...

CTV's story is like that of Braves manager Brian Snitker who was a long time minor league manager in the Atlanta system before replacing Fredi Gonzalez a couple of seasons ago.
