Go to Biscuit Head for Breakfast. Thank me later

Breweries:

The entire South Slope area of downtown is solid for visitors and includes:
-Burial
-Green Man
-Wicked Weed
-Catawba
-Funkatorium(Wicked Weed's Sour Brewery)

Outside of downtown I personally like the Wedge in the River Arts District. There are several solid breweries outside of downtown that can be worth the drive or uber.

What type of bar do you like? If you like craft cocktails check out Sovereign Remedies downtown.

Also, check out Hole Donuts while in town for a donut and a good cup of Joe on Saturday morning.

Switching gears - have you guys been to Buxton Hall BBQ in Asheville? They won a James's Beard award for their whole hog barbecue, it's phenomenal.

Nicceeeeee. I appreciate all the info. I’m a stout and porter guy but I also like browns and reds.

AppStVol- I’m more of a club guy for the end of the night but am fully open to hearing where the best hangout is

It is rough. First time I did it I was dry heaving on my porch in 20 degree weather thinking I was going to die. Shaun T can get you shredded that's for sure. T-25 is a great program too, 25 minutes. Follow the meal plan and the weight just melts off.

When I was doing T-25 a buddy of mine was doing a 5K so I told him I'd do it with him. I had never run more than a mile at a time and decided to do it. I ran 9:15 mile average for the 5k and was blown away at the conditioning I had at the time.

Shaun T can whip that butt into shape. Friday Fight Round 2 is brutal.

The weird thing is that Keto is not really a fad..It is the way we were made to eat. The benefits of it are not just losing weight.

My problem is the same as everyone elses..I am addicted to glucose. Breaking that addiction is as hard as quitting meth and heroin.

I am just starting full keto again, I want to make this stick for good this time. I feel so much better in every way when I go no carb.

Newt just picked up some Homestyle. First ones for you.

I think after I finish these off I'm gonna give keto a try.

If you like Stout's Burial and Green Man are probably your best bet. Oyster House Brewery in West Asheville has my favorite Stout. It's brewed with Oyster shells and is very close to a craft Guinness.

Asheville doesn't really have a club scene but some of the bars will have DJ's on the weekend's to liven it up a bit. Imperial Life is another cool cocktail spot downtown and they have a DJ on Fridays I believe.

Dont forget Sierra Nevada outside of town. Its majestic.

I had a guy tell me that the other day and I laughed. He asked me what my definition of a dad bod was. I defined it as an out of shape middle ager with a hefty beer gut and no muscle. He told me my definition was wrong. He described the dad bod as one that used to be in good shape, still has muscle, but some meat too. He said the ladies like it. I told him he was full of crap. That night I asked my wife and she described a dad bod the same as he did and said girls find it extremely sexy. So you're on the right track buddy. :hi:

Ehhhh, they don’t find it extremely sexy per say. They just view a man that is not in particularly good shape as someone that will be less likely to leave them or something else if they start putting on weight. They don’t feel like they need to make an effort to be/stay in shape since he isn’t either.

When you get done with P90X, hit up some of Shaun T’s workouts, especially Insanity Max 30. You can thank me later.

I completed P90X while I was deployed and then immediately began Insanity. I quit that crap after about 2 weeks. That crap was insane!

I’ve been doing T-25 as well. Love it for the all-around workout, especially core building. I need a little more cardio and resistance training to round it out, but it’s pretty complete.

Cole Beasley just threw shade at dooley. When asked about new WR coach he said it's nice because it's the first time since he has been there that someone actually taught them how to run routes instead of just naturally doing it

Dooley is a smart man, but he’s awful as a football coach. I’ll be totally surprised if he doesn’t fail miserably at Mizzou

Movin this discussion to the help forum so I can better keep up and we don’t clutter this thread. :hi:
