I agree about fad diets, but keto seems really interesting. It makes a lot of sense to me. I'm gonna try it next spring.

Keto is effective, but no more so than a calorie and protein matched diet without the restrictions Keto has.

Personally, i’ll Never give up pizza, fruits, dairy and ice cream. I can still get as lean as I want eating all of that weekly, which is good enough for me

I'm not just talking weight loss though. I have no issue with that as is.

I need a appetite suppressant. If I could find a good one to help me get on track, I think I could do myself some good. My fat ass needs to loose 50 pounds. I have lost on Keto before, but I always gain it back plus some extra when I get off the diet. Anybody recommend something to help cut the cravings ?

Ok VN brethren I could use some diet/workout advice:

I’m looking to drop 35-40 lbs. This time last year I was down to 199 but I’ve added about 35 pounds of bad weight since. I’m 6’3”, 27, and fairly athletic. Just poor diet has led to this. I enjoy working out but hate cardio (I’ll do it if necessary). Don’t have to drop it fast but want to keep it off. I’ve gained and lost weight in a vicious cycle the past few years. I just mostly have a poor diet and not much self discipline. I’ve heard of things like keto and other diets. Anyone had good success with anything?

And go...

I've been doing 80 day obsession from At Home Workouts - Expert Nutrition Plans - Healthy Living - Beachbody.com I've lost 30 lbs in 45 days doing the workouts and meal plan. It's a mix of cardio and weight lifting. Great workout and you can do it at home as long as you have the dumbbells required, I typically use 20-35 lbs for each lift. The diet plan is really good too.

Plus Beachbody has something like 100 different workout plans. You can do a two week trial and see if you like it.

Do any of you guys taking the CBD Oil seeing positive results to help with your sleeping habits? I've read it helps in this regard.

That's the biggest issue I have...I can fall asleep fairly easily but when I wake up 3 or 4 hours later, it's a real crap shoot to see if I can fall back asleep. It's pretty bad when 6 hours of sleep is considered a great night's rest...when I do have a good night's sleep, I feel fantastic the next day. The problem is, it's not very common for me.

I definitely sleep better. My wife even says I snore less too.

The weird thing is that Keto is not really a fad..It is the way we were made to eat. The benefits of it are not just losing weight.

My problem is the same as everyone elses..I am addicted to glucose. Breaking that addiction is as hard as quitting meth and heroin.

I am just starting full keto again, I want to make this stick for good this time. I feel so much better in every way when I go no carb.

I hadn't really thought about it but I'd like a thread with some Old Testament discussion as well. Do you think we could start with the Gentile inclusion within the Abrahamic Covenant?

Personaly I like all of Testament’s discography

Keep it simple and you will have the physique you crave. Lift 3-4 days a week. Switch up your exercises to keep the muscles reacting. Run. 7-8 miles a week. Eat what you want but portion control. That's it. Fad diets are for people who don't want to put the real time in.

Love this. Eat healthy and work out. Your body will look and feel good.

Lol... Nah I'm good, that sounds like a recipe for a migraine. 😁

2-3 capsules of Glucomanan with 16-24 ounces of water 30 minutes before a meal can help. It expands in your stomach and absorbs the water.

All it is is the ground root of the conjac plant, so it’s a natural option

any particular brand and dosage per capsule you recommend ?

100%.

I did it for a few months over the winter and lost 20lbs pretty easily and felt great, better than ever. But like UEM, went back to sugar in the spring. Planning to start again soon and try to make it stick. The best part is you can eat all the eggs and bacon you want. Science is awesome.

Went through that myself. No more cope snuff for me but I’ve definitely added weight.

It was bad. I was using 1.5-2.5 cans a day for over 15 years. Dentist freaked out on one of my routinely 6 months checkups and sent me to a oral surgeon. I quit cold turkey that day and never looked back. I was scared to death. Thankfully the biopsy came back negative. Best decision I ever made.
