I’m not gonna lie, this is by far the happiest I’ve ever been over a sporting event. When the Braves and the Vols won titles back in the 90s I really didn’t appreciate it enough. Maybe it’s because I was so young then, maybe having been through decades of hockey playoff agony makes it that much more amazing and impossible. But man oh man I am thrilled. Last year I called rooting for the Caps the most joyless, worthless relationship in my life. And suddenly this, after the window was supposed to be closed.

The Blues will get there too. And it will be every bit as great as you think it will be.
