He was fired by the Titans (a lot of good coaches have been fired there) and fired by Ga. He needs to prove something.

He was fired because he got into an argument with the mother of a big time DL recruit that UGA ended up losing to Michigan.

The fact that the recruit was from South Ga. and had UGA as his leader until this argument with his momma was just the icing on the cake with Smart.

Just wanted to see what every one thinks of the new DL Coach for UT.

Apparently the players that play for him love him. That being said, I’m curious of the job he will do here, because of his lack of production at UGA which led him to get fired before the 2017-18 Season.

He seems to be a great recruiter and player coach, but when it comes to results, he has lacked.

Has always been a very good recruiter. Seems like a decent coach as well. Moves around a bunch, but many assistants do.

Living in the area is not normally a solid foundation for knowing another person's mind.

I mean, I'm just around the corner from Kelly Clarkson, but have not the first clue what she's thinking. About anything. All I get are vague neighborhood rumors, most of which my neighbors probably made up while drunk. :eek:hmy:

So that's what you got? Just sayin'.

He had to try. It was either that, or admitting he made it up. He chose the correct response. IMO.

Debunked. She listed Rocker as the primary reason to STAY. “Of course” she didn’t have to say that...but she did. She didn’t even reference this fictional argument...because it’s FICTIONAL.

Whatever helps you sleep better at night. I know a lot about what goes on with Georgia recruiting and at UGA in general.

For instance...the day after the 2015 loss against Florida where Richt made the 3rd string QB the starter and refused to pull him even when it became obvious that he wasn't getting it done....Jeremy Pruitt was so upset, he came over to Richt's house and challenged him to a fist-fight right in Richt's driveway. It was one of the reasons that he wasn't retained by Kirby Smart.

Of course, that's also an indicator of the type of competitor Pruitt is. He was, however also caught in bed with an FSU booster's wife down here in Tallahassee. So....

Anyway, hope he works out for you. No reason UT shouldn't be a power in the SEC.

At any rate, I digress. Rocker did fine for Richt. Rocker brought in many of the recruits that were the nucleus of last year's defensive team. What brought Richt down was, he just couldn't get over the hump.

Miami right now is the spitting image of Richt's UGA teams. They will win 10 a year, win their side of the division on occasion, but won't do much better. Along the way, there will be a head-scratching loss or two, like last year, when they lost to a 5-7 Pitt team when they were ranked #2 in the nation.

Rocker and Kirby Smart had a personality conflict. Nobody knows for sure what really happened. If I had to make a guess, I would say that Kirby's Type-A personality regarding recruiting just didn't mesh with Rocker's, and that's that. He will do fine at Tennessee.

Yeah. You got what you KNOW and I got the words from the woman you lied about. If she “hated Rocker” why praise him and get angry about the one’s who LIED about him? She could have praised Pruitt and the others named (conspicuously not SMART) without specifying HIM as the top reason to stay. And I don’t give a **** about who Pruitt ****** when he was down in your burg! Hell, Fisher’s wife took on every player or coach who smiled at her. Maybe you have a pheromone outbreak down there.

Nope. I've actually been coaching HS football as an assistant in South Ga. and North Fla. now for over 20 years. Went to FSU, so I do know a bit about Pruitt's tenure there. A lot of what I mentioned about his UGA career came from Ray Drew, whom I coached in high school.

If I want choirboys, I'll head to a church. If I want football players and guys that can coach 'em, I want guys like Tracy Rocker. Even if all the accusations about banging a boosters wife are true at least he wasn't banging the mens tiddleliwinks team. Rock on Tracy I got you.

Not sure how much you REALLY know that you think you know! Pruitt wasnt found in bed with a boosters wife, I know that for a fact! Now he was caught with a female student from FSU but it was not a boosters wife(and so his wife now made him choose and its the reason he was not at FSU any longer, so I would have to call into question ANYTHING else you say!

And everything you've mentioned about uga has been incorrect. I hope you taught Ray Drew more about football than you taught him about honesty.
