Very disappointing. Hopefully he finds a way to make it in this August at least. We’re gonna need him next year. We don’t have a lot of guys his size who will be around in 2019.

Strange. I don't remember ever hearing a peep about grades being a potential issue. Generally word gets out long before this point if that's the issue.

Is it possible that the staff isn't as sold on him? Maybe a numbers issue after all of the grad transfers? Lawless looked like he put on a lot of bad weight when he visited in the winter. Pure speculation, btw.

Extremely unusual. UT is generally way out in front of academic issues and tells the athlete exactly what they need to do to meet eligibility and admissions requirements. Hard to believe he hasn't been told there's a potential issue and given a plan and timeline to work toward a fix.

He doesn't know anything and nobody has told him anything? Something isn't adding up. Somebody, somewhere, has to know what's up.

You gotta think the staff wants him. If the don’t they wouldn’t have let him sign in the first place. Very strange.

This would make sense for the surprise, and why he may not be here in the fall. I would assume it has to do with when he can take the test again and get enrolled if he passes the next time.

The bad thing in this scenario is he will probably get flagged even if he passes the retake.
