TrumpPutingate III: the beginning of the end

I have never lost one minute of sleep over any politician, any party, any country. Time for the girl to figure out what is really important.

We’ll keep in mind her dad had probably been telling her a Trump presidency would see them all hanged.

The death of a parent, sibling, child, or spouse is much smaller in the "grand scheme of things". We obviously have differing views on what constitutes the "grand scheme of things".
People close to you should be of paramount importance. Are you saying that an election is more important than the death of a loved one?

The election was an anomaly. It should never be used as a reference point.
Not really. The country was ready for a complete outsider, and weren't going to allow another Bush or Clinton to be shoved down their throat. The electorate had Clinton fatigue, as well as Bush fatigue. The Republicans overwhelmingly refused another Bush. The overall electorate refused another Clinton.

Absolutely not, not even close, on a personal level. But in the grand scheme of things, much more important.

Why would a parent ever volunteer for service and be willing to fight in a war if he/she did not feel that there were things (in the grand scheme of things) even more important than family?

Why would a fireman run up the tower on 9/11 when they had a wife and kids at home?

Luther, all of the allegations that fly around about Trump, have you ever read all the things Hillary was accused of? You should do that, and realize this is the person you thought more deserving of sitting in the White House.

Something some on here are probably aware of, but I just discovered recently, her behavior as an intern during Watergate. Jerry Zeifman, chief counsel of the House Judiciary Committee at the time had some very unflattering things to say about her. Called her a liar and unethical. And he was a Democrat, so it wasn't a partisan bias. I found the connection to Watergate ironic which is why I mention it. But there have been many accusations thrown her way. And it's not like she's never been caught in a lie before. Remember when she visited, I think it was Bosnia, and claimed she landed under sniper fire? Then a video tape emerged of the actual landing showing her being greeted by a crowd of people, no sniper fire. Is this the paragon of virtue you hold higher than Trump?

I can understand the Trump hate. I get it. I do not get the Hillary love. That confuses the hell out of me.

BS.

It was a clear indication that the media coverage and polling was extremely biased.

The forgotten people of this country chose to change from "business as usual" e.g. Bush/ Clinton/ Bush/ Obama/ ...

Trump beat Hillary and zero major media outlets predicted it.

No one thought she could lose.

The electoral college exists for a reason. Look at all of the red on this map. The American people elected Donald Trump - he is our president, not an anomaly.

They shouldn't matter to the extent that people have an unhealthy obsession with it.

I think not even losing a minute of sleep is an unhealthy oblivion. There is a middle ground. A few tears from a 20 year old girl is precisely in that middle ground.

Probably they would be at home if the wife and kids were in a burning building.

You honestly think he's innocent? Truly?

I'm not talking proof. What does your gut tell you? Mine says no one acts like this unless they are panicked.

I'm beginning to question whether or not you're an actual lawyer. You, more than most(at least supposedly), should know it's not about what you think. It's about what you can prove. Our judicial system isn't based on "gut feeling".

I understood perfectly. He's saying elections shouldn't be important or matter to you personally.

Elections are important, just not so important you hang your happiness on them. Life goes on no matter the result.

So, you would think it normal for me to cry over Trump losing and Hillary winning, and still be obsessing over it a year and a half later? I would be insane. Even I know that.

It's like you believe a Trump Presidency will destroy the country. Let me ease your mind, it won't. So it's not the result you wanted. Did the world suddenly end?

I never loved Hilary.

FACT CHECK: Did Jerry Zeifman Fire Hillary Clinton from the Watergate Investigation?

You may have just provided more proof of the demonetization of Hilary.

Oh no! Not the color map again.

Also, it's my understanding the Clinton's were great at demonetizing people. Swallowed that money right up.

I said 20 year old girl. And who's obsessing?

I've read the story, did you? He didn't fire her. It wasn't within his power. He did make the comments about her. And in the end, she wasn't kept on, and he didn't give her a letter of recommendation.

It said he had conflicts with her boss and that there were a number of people whom he disliked. It sounded like he disliked her because she was headstrong in doing her job as her boss wanted.

Just curious, where did you come across the story after all of these years?

I've heard about it for 40 years. It was probably from the Russians back then.
