'19 JUCO LB Lakia Henry (Former UT commit)

“they’re real high on my list right now,” henry said of tennessee. “i haven’t been on any visits, though. This will be my first one. “i have to go visit more schools first before i make my decision, but tennessee’s at the top of the list right now. I could say that (tennessee is my leader). But all the other schools, it’s really all about the same, honestly. I haven’t visited any schools, so i really can’t say what school is (standing out).” henry said he’s “staying the whole weekend” at tennessee, and he’s eager to see for himself what the vols have to offer. He has heard plenty from first-year tennessee coach jeremy pruitt’s staff since getting an offer from the vols in february.

“i know a lot about coach pruitt,” henry said. "he was the defensive coordinator at alabama before he came to tennessee. They’ve got a whole new coaching staff, and they even said they’re going to turn things around. That’s kind of appealing, to have a new coaching staff, and they want to recruit juco guys to try to get dudes in there to play and have a winning season, so i understand that.” henry said he also plans to visit ole miss next weekend before returning to dodge city to attend summer classes. He said he’s still hoping to visit nebraska, texas a&m, texas and louisville this summer, and he “might take one official” visit this summer.

Definitely going to need some JUCOs to bridge the gap. Would love it if this kid joined Middleton.

This ‘19 class is huge for us. Need some blue chip guys like Wanya to build around, with a mix of a handful of JUCOs to plug and play.

Lakia Henry is VERY good and he's physically ready to be a starting SEC ILB. He'd be a GREAT get!

UA likes him a lot and vice versa and ILB is also a BIG need in this cycle. Some in the recruiting media predict he'll go to UA, but I don't think so. UA will take 3 ILBs. Shane Lee is committed, and UA is in great shape to land Nakobe Dean and Christian Harris. Since all 3 of them are also physically ready for SEC play, I think Henry is 4th on their board.

ETA: To be more clear -- It's not that Henry is viewed as the 4th best ILB among those 4 guys. Dean is the best. The other 3 are fairly equal. It's more a case of not needing to take a Juco in UA's situation. If Bama misses on one of those 3 they'd push hard for Henry.

Do the other Bama posters shun you at social gatherings? Because you do it the right way on another team’s board? :good!:

This is the kind of guy that makes your team better immediately. It's been a long time since we've gotten true elite / impact JUCO's. He's the best JUCO in the country this year and it's not close IMO. Physically he looks on another level than anyone else in the JUCO ranks at this point.

Regardless of position or are you just talking about LBs?

:toast: My parents taught me to mind my manners.

Apologies for my since deleted previous post. I guess as far as rival fans, you’re at least..... mildly tolerable. In my defense, there are way too many obnoxious rivals that post here like they live here. Some even try and act like Vols fans. It’s tiring.

He and secking and (for the most part) Hialeah Gator don’t seem to have an agenda. They talk football. The ones you reference do make one gun shy, for sure.

:toast: No problem. I understand. Every fanbase is a mixed bag that includes some the "normal" fans would like to disown. I've been an occasional poster here for a long time. Those who've paid attention know I'm not hater, don't troll, don't have any agenda and would like to see the Vols program get back to contending for it's fair share of SEC East titles.
