Mass shooting of the week, high school in parkland, FL.

So you believe a school system has the right to infringe upon someone's 1A rights because they post something you do not agree with, even though what was posted is not illegal? Got it.

There are tee shirts students are not allowed to wear to school. I imagine there are things you can't say or post because of your employment.

What if a student posts that they are thinking about going into a school and shooting a bunch of people?

What if the student posts that they had a dream about going into a school and shooting a bunch of people?

What if a student posts they have great admiration for people who go into a school and shoot a bunch of people?

What if a student posts a picture of them holding a gun and a caption reading "I think I'm about to explode."

What if a student posts a picture of them holding a gun and a caption reading "tomorrow's going to be an epic day"?

I'm not sure that you "got it". In fact, I'm pretty sure that you didn't.

Are you saying parents and students should not be allowed to report things they have seen on social media that they feel needs to be reported?

The next logical step will be a list or guideline outlining what is and is not acceptable for students to post (already getting there - shooting an AR15 may be making it onto the list). Sort of like dress codes or language within the school building.

Lol. Nice conclusions.

Terroristic threatening is illegal. Insinuating something "epic" may take place at school can certainly be investigated. Shooting an AR15 and expressing the intent behind it, that he was learning to shoot from an instructor and was with his dad, is none of the above.

Yet, "shooting an AR15 may be making it onto the list" of things a student should not post on social media is nothing more than anti-gun / anti-AR15 people getting upset at a pro-2A student exercising his constitutional rights in a very liberal area and people trying to make trouble for said student.

I got it just fine.

Yes! Lets get people for their dreams! We can call it the Dream Police! Hopefully the kid isn't playing some kind of cheap trick on you though..

Who determines what rises to the level of a terroristic threat? Who draws and interprets that line?

Whether or not something is threatening is in the eye of the beholder. A KID/STUDENT shooting an AR15 is seen as threatening in today's world. THAT'S THE WAY IT IS.

Then the reasonable and rational people need to explain to them it’s not threatening. How you feel doesn’t matter, you are either threatened or you are not.

So your line would be that if they say they are thinking about it .... yes. If they say they dreamed about it......no.

See how that drawing a line thing works?

Let's start with something that actually can be defined as a "threat" at all. Posting pics and commentary about going to the range and doing some shooting doesn't meet that criteria.

lol....doesn't work that way. Some people fear (are threatened by) spiders, snakes, dogs, sky diving, rock climbing, scuba diving, lightening, Muslims, guys in hoodies, guns, illegal immigrants......others would say those fears are completely unfounded.

Thinking about it? Nope. Dreaming about it? Well.."Dreamt" about it? No. If they show an odd fascination with it all the time then yeah thats weird. But you can't go after people for a dream.

Someone says "Oh I had a weird dream where I was sneaking into the zoo to free the lemurs" doesn't mean they are going to do it and need to be narced. Now if the person keeps saying "I dream of sneaking into the zoo to free the lemurs" more than once..yeah..they might be crazy..call the sanitarium.

I mean I had a dream where I nailed this chick who is married to a guy I know. It doesn't mean that I am going to go sleep with her..

So how many freeing lemur dreams are required before is becomes crazy? Two? Who gets to decide? Someone else may think 4 dreams should be required while another may say one is enough.

Not a valid question anyway. Now if you're dreaming of letting the marmosets loose that's a serious issue.

X dreams over interval y. Reasonable and rational.
