Agreed. Several players were leaving/threatening to leave UGA when Kirby Smart came in, saying he was too harsh on them.

Looks like Pruitt is taking a similar approach.

Football is and will always be a physical game...that also takes in the mental side of the game. Get your mind right and the body will follow!

Cut them a little slack. They've all been bait and switched since being recruited. None of them thought they were walking into a grease fire and rebuilding process.

This is where you figure out the men from the boys though. Where you find out what ones wanna play or just show up. Read the statement by Mcelroy on the only player UT has that could start for AL being Trey Smith. And its not a * rating issue. Its a work ethic issue. They were caught up into a "champion of life" mentality where everyone gets a trophy.

Yup. A real coach (leader) inspires and motivates. They take marginal players and get the most out if them.
Running them off doesn't.

I have no other logical choice than to trust the opinion of the HC that is there every day, sees it with his own eyes and knows more about the game than I do.

Let Pruitt clean house. Smart had to do it at UGA when he got there and I am sure Dawg fans are happy with the end result.

When these young men put on that uniform with that beautiful POWER T on it they should give their all for Tennessee no matter what!!!!!!!!!
If they can't or want to quit then so be it good riddance....

It is time to get back to playing big boy SEC foot ball at Tennessee..

Most players don’t commit to schools, they commit to coaches they bond with and can get them to the next level. It’s no surprise some guys can’t make the bonding switch happen overnight. No one should be mad at the kids or call them lazy in my opinion.

We may wanna slow our roll a little around here before we run off 1/2 the team. There is no guarantee that we're replacing them with anyone better.

Agree!! By the way all these grad. transfer guys running around the country and these lower class men running from school to school (some more than once in their 4 -5-6 years), does the place where they are leaving not ever have any thing to say? Or we the only one to notice, complain, rave and so on when someone leaves?

Slack hell!! Sounds like the real world to me. Very few "work places" "out here" cut you slack.

SOUNDS LIKE A REAL LIFE LESSON TO ME!!!

No choice doesn't mean you lack opinions or insights.

Sorry, but after Fulmer, Kiffin, Dooley and Butch, I don't have unconditional trust for someone just because they get the job.

I like his approach at this point as well, is exactly what is needed imho. No idea how the Pruitt era will turn out, but he’s going about things the right way thus far.

Correct, most kids don't even care about "school". ("most" may brand too many guys). For those that fall into this group, they want to know where to get ,,,,, lets just say the best of everything but an education. As a big part of this is the sales job done by the recruiter. For the recruiter and his other staff members, at some point the "proof must show in the puddin". To me this means our new staff will need time.
