Yeah. I am big about giving the current coach support but more and more keeps coming out about Butch and it is obvious more and more that we were gonna crash hard if he wasn't fired. I am very excited about this new staff of coaches though. Proven winners and talent developers. Not just pigs with lipstick.
boy I'd hate to see what crash hard would look like after last season

I think recruiting would've been a steaming pile. Transfers would have been rampant. We would have been worse off than when Butch started building brick by brick with what was apparently Styrofoam blocks. Dumpster fire on deer antler spray.

Very very telling comments by Wilhoite there, about his thoughts on the previous staff as well as what he was told by players on the team who "didn't even mess with the staff."

Goes to show how dysfunctional we were last season.

Aside from that, feels like this kid is ours for the taking. This was basically as good an outcome as we could've hoped for.

Proof that the team’s trust in the staff last year was gone, and proof that our record doesn’t reflect talent.

Trying real hard to keep my expectations below 8 wins. Fresh start, improved teaching, and leftover talent got me feeling the sunshine.

Wilhoite returned to Tennessee on Saturday for the first time in almost 10 months, staying in Knoxville from Friday night through the Vols’ scrimmage Saturday night after a late arrival caused him to cancel his planned visit to Clemson on Saturday. He came away thoroughly impressed with Pruitt's staff, and by all indications the Vols should be strong contenders for Wilhoite moving forward. He spoke candidly with GoVols247 about some of his concerns with Tennessee’s former staff that prevented him from viewing the Vols as one of his top choices in recent months. But Wilhoite has liked Tennessee for much of his recruitment, and Saturday’s visit seems to have put the Vols back near the top of his list — he admitted they’re probably in his top three or top five — with Florida State, Ohio State, Arkansas and Clemson likely representing their main competition at the moment.

If there are still any Butch supporters after reading Wilhoite's comments, I suggest they strap all the bricks to their ankles and jump from Henley St Bridge. Wow

If we get this guy, that LB that has a Bama connection, and Washington I'll be thrilled with the in-state haul and anymore is gravy.

Grimes?

Man we need more than 3 guys form in-state.

There is about 12 nationally rank3d prospects from TN.

And more with very good upside.

Id like to see us sign about 10.
