Wilhoite returned to Tennessee on Saturday for the first time in almost 10 months, staying in Knoxville from Friday night through the Vols scrimmage Saturday night after a late arrival caused him to cancel his planned visit to Clemson on Saturday. He came away thoroughly impressed with Pruitt's staff, and by all indications the Vols should be strong contenders for Wilhoite moving forward. He spoke candidly with GoVols247 about some of his concerns with Tennessees former staff that prevented him from viewing the Vols as one of his top choices in recent months. But Wilhoite has liked Tennessee for much of his recruitment, and Saturdays visit seems to have put the Vols back near the top of his list he admitted theyre probably in his top three or top five with Florida State, Ohio State, Arkansas and Clemson likely representing their main competition at the moment.
