I have to disagree with this. He may think he is on to something but is still digging for evidence. You don’t try to take down the POTUS unless you are damn sure both barrels are loaded. I don’t think that evidence is out there however.

Cohen occasionally taped his conversations with others and would play them back for colleagues, those close to Cohen told the newspaper.

Now some Trump associates reportedly fear that tapes of recorded conversations could have been taken by FBI agents during the raid of Cohen’s office on Monday.

One individual said Cohen would play recordings for him of the Trump lawyer talking with other top advisers to the president.

“It was his standard practice to do it,” that individual said.

True. What crimes is he investigating? What are the criminal statutes and legal case presedence? No one that I’m aware of can name them. BUT, they could find them, which is not how the law works.

Here’s why this is such a problem, and there’s interesting legal arguments if a special counsel with virtually unlimited bounds is even constitutional. But we are where we are.

Realize this fact...this is 100% about impeaching Trump, this is not in doubt. We’ve gone from collusion, to now the damn Billy Bush tapes again. lol:

You give me a couple of years with $$millions per year with the best DOJ/FBI prosecutors and dirtiest I might add, we’ll look into you and your ‘circle’...guaranteed we’ll find something on you or someone to bring criminal referrals or indictments of crimes. They better damn well have some solid mounds of evidence to raid Cohen, if not, it’s really a disgraceful abuse of power and a never before seen raid on a sitting president’s lawyer and long time friend. IMO, this is very stinky, but we’ll see how due process works.

I think you should accept that they did have mounds of evidence to conduct the raid. The probable cause for the raid will be scrutinized and I assume prosecutors know this. I don't know what they have but I have to assume they have the appropriate boxes checked for such a high profile raid. No need for me to question the raid since we will never see the probable cause.
