This team isn't going 4-8. 6-8 win range. 4 wins is nonsense.
I would normally agree but outside of LB and WR where to we have quality SEC depth?
We hope for good QB play
We hope for good OL play
We hope for good TE play
We lack depth at RB
We hope for good DB play
We hope for consistency at kicker and punter
Yeah, could be 8 wins.
Could be 4.
Coaching will tell us.
Got this from an Auburn board-
courtesy of E, here's summary of what Chad Simmons posted yesterday on top 30 players in GA
WR Jadon Haselwood --> UGA but don't sleep on AU
OT Wanya Morris - UT lean but AU has made it VERY interesting
LB Owen Pappoe - AU has the edge & has had it for a little while but UGA still a threat
CB Andrew Booth - CLEM lean but AU team to watch
CB Jalen Perry - UGA but looking around more (AU has communicated with him in the past FWIW)
DL Justin Eboigbe - AU/UGA battle
ATH Jashawn Sheffield - big lead for AU with TEN trying to get involved
OG Keiondre Jones - AU/UF/SCAR battle
WR Kenyon Jackson - A&M leads but AU team to watch
DT Jaelin Humphries - Interestingly does not have AU listed instead says UGA/LSU/TEN
WR Ramel Keyton - TEN leads with AU #2
ATH Derrian Brown - FSU/AU/VT battle
CB Warren Burrell - Lots of SEC schools & ND
ATH Jaylin Simpson - all AU
I've been pretty outspoken about how this team should be able to make a bowl in 2018 or Pruitt isn't the guy.
But I will add the caveat that if we don't get a lot of the guys who are out for the spring back, this team looks a lot worse.
I don't think it's that bad but I also don't think this roster is near as good as some on here think it is. This is most likely a six or seven win team. The growing pains with new schemes and a first time head coach, and first time coordinators, will make things challenging. A lot of people are overlooking that last part.
There seems to be some worry about the d linemen moving to ol, just remember there is much better depth there and they likely need some bodies on ol with locklear and Brooks out right now. Pruitt mentioned those moves likely were temporary and that he expects every injured player back so I assume locklear and Brooks will be fine and this is a way to cross train and provide immediate relief to the ol as well as contingency plans for the season. I realize its only really one person complaining about it but people get mad when I quote him so I made this generic. Not as big a deal as you are portraying it to be. Now I will go back to being negative. We're screwed and will only win 8 or 9 games this season before our bowl win. I hate crappy seasons like that but 2019 should be better.
